Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

I always get a laugh from somebody with that comment, but it's true. Terri knows enough to be afraid of someone who's trying to kill her. She's smarter than anyone who pushes for euthanizing the physically weak, totally unaware of how that will affect them when they eventually become physically weak.

Terri is wise and strong but they are armed with law books that they never opened and a failed Dept. of Health, failed DCF, law enforcement who DIDN'T ACT because they were waiting to be clued in.

I remember when calls were passed from Jeb's office to FLA AG Crist's office and back. NOBODY WOULD ACCEPT CALLS ABOUT TERRI. WELL, EGG ON THEIR FACES!

Florida better step on it! This is their mess and Terri should not have to pay for it with her life.

Here's a group who is supposedly investigating the matter but have been silent for over a year: Florida Advocacy Group for the Disabled. They have a web page, etc.

True. Terri is very strong. Vulnerable would have been a better word. Those who push to kill people for being vulnerable can't imagine themselves in that position. They think they can, but it's like teddy kennedy imagining himself penniless. Their make-believe version is nowhere close to the reality.

The term "cause celebre" always make me think of the Sacco and Vanzetti case of the 1920s, when a group of intellectuals, including the popular poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, petitioned to free the Italian-American anarchist pair. They were still electrocuted in MA, of all places. Ballistic tests later proved their guilt, but many liberals still site S&V as an example of the failures of American "justice."

But what is Terri guilty of? Marrying the wrong man is all that I can come up with. Now if she were a terrorist, she might have a chance yet.

I think this consistency in the FL courts is because the higher courts cannot legally or will not politically review the actual "evidence" by which popular George W. Greer decided first in 2001 that Terri must die.

In 1998, Judge George Greer refused a request for a restraining order from Helene Ball McGee. Two weeks later, her husband murdered her.

A few hours after they buried Helene Ball McGee, her co-workers turned their grief into a show of protest Monday against the judge and the system that they say failed to protect her.

"She did everything according to the system and that just wasn't enough," said Doreen Johnson, who gathered with several other nurses in front of the Pinellas County Criminal Courthouse on 49th Street near Largo.

McGee, 44, was stabbed to death last week, about two weeks after her request for a restraining order against her husband was denied. Her husband, Bobby McGee, faces first-degree murder charges.

In turning down Helene McGee's request for court protection, Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer said he was not convinced that her life was in imminent danger. That reasoning angered the nurses who worked with McGee.

"Why is it that somebody has to be shot? Why is it that somebody has to be hit? Why is it that somebody has to be stomped?" said Maria Jackson, who worked with McGee at the Pinellas County Jail. "This has really hit us hard."

Jackson said McGee's friends and co-workers were aware of her marital problems.

"She was terrified," Jackson said. "She told me, `Maybe he's going to have to kill me before I can get a restraining order.' "

While Greer bore the brunt of their anger, some also spoke out against the system, saying that judges need better training on what constitutes domestic violence.

The definition of violence that judges use in deciding whether to issue restraining orders is too narrow, Joanne Moore said.

In asking for the court order, McGee wrote that her husband forced himself on her sexually, burned her belongings and said she was possessed by the devil. But she told a court clerk that he had never physically abused her.

I think I've heard Rusty Humpries on "The Weekend" and I believe he's subbed for either Rush or Michael Savage before, or both. He's got a sense of humor. This will just send him in a tailspin. IT IS JUST HORRIFIC.

I talked to Helene's best friend at the Vigil. Apparently Greer also made a comment about not being able to predict the future to know that she would be murdered. Greer sure has a way with women, doesn't he? I'd be afraid if I was his wife.
