Thousands of Americans and people around the world, maybe in the millions see this for what it is, a hit.
GO GUYS, GO!! Here...I'll do a happy Dean impression...YEAAAAAARRGGHHHHH!!!!!!! KEEP ON FREEPIN'! KEEP ON!
Michael washing his hands of it in the letter from Felos to Greer, linked in post 2303 above.
Given a choice between having the HINO escape punishment for the attempted murder, but being put out of Terri's life, and having the husband receive the needle for a successful murder, which would you prefer?
If HINO can help convict Felos and Greer, so much the better, but if a state's-evidence deal means he gives up trying to kill Terri (and prevents Felos/Greer from doing so) even that'd be enough in my book.
"Bishop Robert Lynch and the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg are grateful for the outpouring of love and compassion expressed to us for Terri Schiavo. . . .Terris spiritual well being continues to be of paramount importance to Bishop Lynch...We all pray that the Lord will abundantly bless and protect Terri Schiavo and her family in their time of need..."
amdgmary: do we have any different or additional word from him or from the diocese of St. Petersburg this time around, or just more of the lame, er, same?
hi, T, do you know the answer to my above question? thanks.
cyn, I just got that last night, and there was nothing new.
Bishop Lynch has not issued a statement about Terri in a long time. I don't think he will this time. Lynch has openly expessed his disdain for Terri's family so it's not likely that he will give a statement on Terri.

Well let's keep after him until he does! He's going against the teachings of the Pope.
It sure does. I don't see how he can say that the court is ordering her death as opposed to granting the guardian permission to have the feeding tube removed.
Maybe he's actually going to show how 'nuts' he is.
Here's ABC ACTION NEWS URL what locals saw: http://abcactionnews.com/video/news/2005/02/0221schiavo.shtml
In 2003, many Catholic lay groups led by the Catholic Media Coalition bombarded Lynch with letters, phone calls and e-mails. People demanded a statement from him. They wanted him to speak out against this travesty. Lynch finally issued a statement but it was very weak. He doesn't keep it a secret that he does not like the Schindlers and their efforts to help their daughter.
'A guest speaker, a Franciscan Brother all the way from Minnesota reminded us that because we are created in His image, taking someone's life is "killing God". Please remember his words.'
Wow! That's heavy hitting, and I never thought of it exactly in that way. Not only are we created in His image, but His Holy Spirit indwells in us. BLASPHEMING the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. 'Killing God' - that really drives it home that this is a battle of Satan vs. God. Such vicious hatred that will stop at nothing. Looking at it this way actually gives me hope that God will lay them low at the last minute.
floriduh voter, you are doing an amazing job. God bless you a thousand times over. All the rest of you as well.
btw, every time I try to check out petitiononline, my computer says 'illegal operation...will shut down', and I crash. Is that just me? The same thing happened this morning 4 times when I tried to open one particular website on 'Eugenics and the Nazis - the California Connection'. Is anyone else getting shut down on petitiononline?

Schiavo Judge Bars Withdrawal Of Feeding Tube Until Hearing
So they are taking away Terri's feeding tube, because they CLAIM taking nourishment from a feeding tube is extraordinary means, but they won't even allow Terri to SWALLOW nourishment like the rest of us when she has demonstrated that she can.
This is all so heart wrenching, beyond words.
I tried to sign the petiononline, but my computer wouldn't allow it. The petition may have been shut down.
He did the same thing in 2003.
Terri has another say until after those hearings and hopefully A PERMANENT HALTING TO ALL BARBARIC ATTEMPTS TO TAKE TERRI'S LIFE.
Now, that IS a violation of freedom of religion.
Visit www.renewamerica.us. Alan Keyes has TWO PETITIONS THERE. ONE IS TO SAVE TERRI. I think Keyes' petitions are still up and running.
