Did you know that my attempts to look through Google Images produced more about Coffee Cup than Election pictures? Gag me with a ladle.

A good comparison. Sadly the media won't see it that way, since they are invested in the election not happening.

It feels to me as almost the same as when the Berlin Wall came down in 89.I cried over that as well. I heard it on NPR (pre-FR days). I had to pull the car over to the side of the road. And no, I do not generally cry alot, honest.

I was in HS when that happened. I didn't fully understand the implications for a couple of years, but (in retrospect) this is another joyous occasion. Today, the world moves.

From an Iraqi:
The terrorists have challenged the bravery of the Iraqi people but they messed with the wrong people. The people have accepted the challenge; democracy and elections are not a luxury for Iraqis, it's an issue of life or death. And the terror brutal campaign has only made the people more determined to go on with the change.
On Sunday, the sun will rise on the land of Mesopotamia. I can't wait, the dream is becoming true and I will stand in front of the box to put my heart in it.

thanks for putting this up, dog. it is so exciting, when I see the pix of the Iraqi-Americans weeping and cheering, I become verklempt. And really get ticked off at Boxer, Tubbs, etc., who moaned and groaned because voters in certain OH precincts had to stand in line. Grrrrrrr
