It is now 3 am in Iraq the polls will be opening in the next few hours as the world watches and hold's it breath. Iraq is about to undertake a historic vote.
Lets wish them well....... please post all comments and election photos to this thread.
One of he interesting comments hours ago on Fox was an Arab reporter who was saying his colleagues were impressed...and that this is going to carry to other Arab countries...
hehe.
Well, I like anything that really socks it to the leftist negative doom-and-gloomers.
We still will have a great election that is a big success.
There are a lot of us still hanging around this thread.....I've been preparing staying up the last several nights watching the Australian Open Tennis Tournament....
Thanks guys. Yes I am very proud of him and pray and hope that this year goes by quickly and with the blessings of God again.
These Iraqi's who died today probably will not be forgotten since they were there to vote during this very historic day in Iraq (and the world). They will probably be honored at some point in the future in Iraq.
Had to work tonight and have not had a chance to catch up on this thread, but when I turned on the TV and Fox was at commercial, I turned to MSNBC and it was all talk of gloom & doom and failure, turned to CNN and they were quite positive. Has this been a trend tonight???
Why the hell would a suicide terrorist give a rats ass about a driving ban?
He's gonna die,why would he care?
I'd like to know how many Americans were murdered on election day here in the USA, how many will be murdered today in America ?
"I doubt any terrorists or insurgents have blue fingers... it might be a clue?!"
AHa! The old blue finger ploy to weed out the terrorists and shoot them dead ploy.

lol
hehe.
Bite your tongue before you cause a mass suicide with Ted Kennedy leading the way.
CNN has been (from what I've seen) FAR more positive than MSNBC overall. Definitely still a whole different picture on CNN than FNC...but also very different from CNN to MSNBC. CNN has been my commercial/repeated video segment alternative this evening when Fox isn't saying much.
Let Freedom Ring bookmark!
I'm watching, and taping, this historic event. Seeing the faces of the ecstatic Iraqis has made me grab the Kleenex box to have it handy......my eyes keep leaking.
Those people have waited a long time for today; a day they only dreamed of for decades.
My thanks to all the military men and women who made this day possible, for giving the Iraqis the gift of Freedom.
I'd say the voter turn out despite the threats of violence is probably the biggest "Thank you" our Armed Forces could receive.
Why just there? Who's saying we can't do it here at FR at one of next major events even if we don't have their names.
LOL I wondered who would be the first to pick up on that.
A former lieutenant colonel without a job? Someone draft him into the army.
I don't know about the army. If they have not picked him up yet, evidently he is not worthy and/or trust worthy.
Maybe he can be a thrash collector.
I'm hoping for too much, but this could be the start of a long-needed cultural change. This election is the first time many people have seen political freedom in action.
The only news channel I have is CNN. I haven't kept up with everything they have reported, but I've seen a number of positive stories.
Thanks! Since I've ben home not much actual analysis from Fox...what is their take?
