Sadr City Polling Station

Good to see the lines in Sadr City.

Isn't that one of the Iraqi cities we didn't nuke?

I heard that Bush went on Iraqi TV the other day and gave them the message that he hopes they all vote, and how he is proud of all they have done--not sure exactly what he said, but it was something like that---

I'm elated because the Iraqis are voting. When the polls first opened no one was there...but, they're coming...they're coming!

Good morning. Calling in from Baghdad Province with 3% of the precincts reporting…we have enough of a tally to declare that Saddam Hussein is projected the winner again…

Oh, wait….{heh!}…that’s the script from the last time there was an election here….

We’ll ummmmm….get back to you after we’ve corrected this technical glitch….

form the DU thread title: "Wow, FOX/CNN live coverage of the Iraq election is pathetic." They seem really pissed over there :-D "

THAT is their reaction to history being made? The TV coverage is bad?

Everyone here should copy your post and paste it into a word document titled "The DUmmies in the face of history" or something.

I know we have a TV-aimed public but my god!

And we had one Senator from Minnesota close up his office and RUN from fear. An elected official who couldn't manage to stay on the job. Guess being a Senator is a lot different than inheriting the Dayton-Hudson fortune.

The terrorist insurgents have been pathetic so far. Their threats haven't fazed people and its awesome to see ordinary people realizing they have the power to take their country back from those bent upon its destruction. President Bush's faith in the power of freedom has already been shown today.
