Do we know this to be sure ie, his birth and death dates?
I thought we don't even know his true burial ground.

Everything he composed...every...single...thing was perfect.

Wolfie was good (and Happy Birthday!), but IMO, he (nor anyone else) could compare to this guy (and I'm listening to the Goldberg Variations as I type):

The purest, most beautiful music this side of heaven. The simplicity and "rightness" of it always seems so effortlessly near-perfection. As if every simple, perfect note and harmony had been hidden in plain sight.

Agree here: Wolfgang is one of those guys I can recognize, in an abstractly critical way, as having written great music, but given the choice, I would always prefer Johann Sebastian.

Or Handel.
