Is there a web site out there that steams "Trunk Tracked" scanner channels for the Glendale area? I could have swore I have ran across it before but I can not find it now. Does anyone know what it is?

I live about a mile from this and have ridden that train on occasion. Horrible. Thoughts and prayers with the families.

It would have made SOME sense, in a blackened and twisted sort of way, if this were a terrorist attack. A suidide who changes his mind and causes all these innocent people to die....this is beyond comprehension

Gene Gleeson says Jeep driver did it purposefully to commit suicide, took off running at last minute, jumped out of Jeep at the last minute, changed his mind, then left.

Mohammad is that you?

The dumbass should've done it without the Jeep.

I'm not sure if I buy the suicide story. If he really wanted to check out you'd think he'd do it by just lying on the tracks instead of staying in the Jeep.

Has anyone heard whether the name of the Jeep driver has been released?

Of course, if it were Mohammad or Achmed or such, we'd hear the official announcement that terrorism isn't suspected.

If someone wanted to commit suicide, why wouldn't he have just jumped in front of the train? Something about this doesn't make sense. I wonder what the suspect's ethnicity/religious affiliation might be?

I'm listening to 7 KABC live.

I haven't heard that the driver was found. If they do great, if not, I hope they get him soon.

KNX radio is reporting the driver is in custody but they're sticking to the "alleged" word regarding the rest.

Last night, watching that car chase and listening to the KTTV and KCOP people babbling, I was joking that pretty soon they'll say he's allegedly evading the traffic stop. Political correction is so insidious.

it won't be a murder charge - wreckless manslaughter I imagine.

But, he also would have run like hell and not gone back to talk to the cops. So, who knows.
