Didn’t I tell you earlier. Your team has not been in the Superbowl very often so you might not know the drill. In the two weeks before the Superbowl, the fans of teams that did not make the Superbowl bust the chops of the fans of teams that did make the Superbowl - it's a long proud tradition.
I like seeing Superbowl victories spread around - it makes all fans think any year could be their year. I am not a fan of Superbowl repeaters (consecutive Superbowls) - unless it is the Redskins (and look what happened to them when they did a Superbowl repeat).
This should be the Eagles year. They have been a powerful force for the last few years and this should be their year. I just find it hard to root for a team that is in the same division as the Redskins (of course it does mean the division is good, at least in part).
The Pat's are tough and the Eagles might have picked the wrong year to win the NFC Championship.
We shall see - but take heed: if feels worse to have your team lose the Superbowl than it does when you team does not make the playoffs - of course that is what makes the weeks before the Superbowl fun.
I think it should be the Eagles year but I can't root for the Eagles although I don't think either team really cares who I root for.

Echo that. I much prefer the years my Steelers didn't make the playoffs to the SB they lost, or even the Conference Championships they lost, much easier to move on, much less crazy dreaming, much fewer dashed hopes.
