Bettis had a torn groin last time and played sparingly, the back up was Amos Zereoue, who went down easier than Monica Lewinsky. The Pats used 2 returns to win the game(punt and int) just like the Jets of last week (and still couldn't win).

Steelers run offense #2 in NFL.

Steelers run defense #1 in NFL

Steelers defense #1 overall in NFL.

Steeleers #1 record in the NFL 16-1 including a pasting of the patsys. Steelers made the Pats look like north eastern liberals on Halloween.

It should and better be a great game.

I agree. I think the Steelers will play better today than they did three years ago but I also think the Pats will as well.

"Parcells stole Martin right after the 1996 season."

Losing Curtis Martin was an outrage. He is one of the classiest guys I have seen in pro sports. They should have extended his contract a year earlier and they would never have lost him to the Jets. The Krafts will not likely make such a mistake like that again.

True, true, true ,true...that is the past, and don't misconstrue my support for the Steelers as an insult.

We'll see what happens later. Best of luck, whichever team wins today will be the Super Bowl champ as well.

Now that you mention it I hadn't noticed the heels. Nice touch.

Considering the love fest that's been going on this week, I thought the Huns were going against the Holy Roman Empire. Neither has a chance of winning against the other according to the coaches.

C'mon now Steeler fans, I know you're reading along with this, why am I the only defender of the faith?

The contract would have been a killer for the Pats to match so they didn't. And, given that Martin was starting to develop injuries it wasn't the most unheard of move to let him go. However, the draft picks they got for losing both Parcells and Martin to the Jets were bungled by Bobby Grier which set the franchise down hill. Pete Caroll had no say on the draft, besides drafting people like Tebucky Jones, Chris Canty and Andy Katzenmoyer (sic?) with 1st rnd. Picks, Grier was stabbing him in the back the whole time and Kraft was busy trying to be like Jerry Jones.

That was the one regret Willie McGinest had after the game was that they let him kick a field goal. If Eugene Wilson had held on to that Manning throw in the end zone the Pats would have shut them out!! I doubt the Colt players were thanking him after the game for scoring their only ponits.

Patriots- 26, Steelers- 17

Falcons- 24, Eagles- 23

I feel like I'm picking on Pennsylvania with those picks. I'm not, I swear. I actually am not confident at all that the Falcons will win, but they were my original pick and I can't back out of it now.

Different defensive scheme. Bet you might see it if the Pats are up and Big Ben has to pass a lot.

Nah, it only creates division in the Indy locker room. The liquored up idiot kicker was their most potent offensive force that day.

I really liked Caroll which is why I'm happy he's doing so well at USC. I just think he wasn't NFL head coaching material.

They did whip the Pats on both sides of the ball on Halloween. This one should be better though. The Pats were using a makeshift O-line that day, and didn't have Dillon. That game will have nothing to do with today, I think, and both teams know it. Clean slate, may the best team win. And these are probably the two best teams as well.

I'm just pretty sure both home teams won't win. It hasn't happened in the conference championship games in eight years.

I couldn't believe he was wearing jogging pants when he wasn't kicking last week. Does he think his leg is like the arms of MLB pitchers?
