Brady was a SIXTH ROUND DRAFT CHOICE! Not a bad pick...
I don't think Kraft is a big Kerry fan and that's why we haven't seen him crawling around Foxboro.
Im picking the Pats big time, I thought that the Notre Dame job acceptance would do something to your offensive cooridnator but the team has stepped up big time.
McNabb ain't no John Elway, not even close. It's this type of McNabb adoration that we find in the media that supports mine and others statements that Mcnabb is way overrated.
#199 overall.
If anything Weis is doing all he can to impress potential recruits from across the country on the best possible stage. It won't help him much this year with recruiting but it will down the road.
And this was after he had a terrific career at Michigan. What was the knock on him? Why did he go so low?
I didn't say McNabb was as good as Elway. He's just in a similar situation today like Elway was in during the late 80's.
Even with TO in the game, I think you guys will win.
McNabb has premier receivers, awesome linebackers, a great front line, good running backs......If the Eagles lose it won't be cause the team isn't as good as McNabb.
Who knows. Take a look at any draft in NFL history and you'll see great players who were taken on day two.
when you talk at all, you bring a mark twain quote to mind.
but I forgot - you know more about football than the longest tenured head coach in the NFL.
TO won't be the same guy he was during the regular season even if he does play. I think the Lewis injury is a big blow.
So if the Eagles lose it'll be McNabb's fault?
ESPN claimed he must be able to run and cut at normal speed before Andy will let him play.
It's just a case in point that good head coaches will build good staffs and these people will go out and make their mark on the world. Bill Walsh' lineage has been the most impressive. 3 SBs for him, 2 for Sieffert, 2 for Shanahan, 1 for Holmgren
That is a lot of league purchased jewelry.
Yeh, Very, very similar....... calm and accurate and SMART.
Funny story, I was thinking about Montana last night when I was thinking of Brady's great head. My wife (who is a sports fan and knows her stuff) and I were at the Pittsburgh airport back in the Montana/SF Super Bowl years. I guess the 49er's were in Pittsburgh to play the Steelers. I don't remember what Mary and I were doing at the airport, but we were walking around killing some time in one of those magazine/newspaper/gift shops. There in that shop peering out from behind a few magazines was Joe Montana. He was all alone. I spotted him and he knew it. No big deal. I played some professional sports, have been around a few sports all my life so it was really just another guy, and I always knew him to be a real nice guy.
Anyhow, I walked over to him and said , "Hi, hey take it easy on the Steelers, ok?" -- or something like that. He laughed. Then I said, "see that girl over there, that's my wife, how about going over there and saying, "aren't you Mary ......blah, blah, blah"? Now Mary knew very well what Joe Montana looked like, she really liked him for a lot of reasons, not the least was that he is from around Pittsburgh and she liked his playing style, and, thought he was good looking. Anyhow, he did go over. I watched as he walked over to her, she recognized him as he approached, he then said 'the Mary bit' for me, and she was so flipped out. It was the cutest thing! Then he pointed over to me, and the gag was over.
So, he was a great sport to do it, and it was just a very natural experience.....no celebrity crap at all! As a matter of fact, he was almost shy to an extent.
As he was leaving he laughingly said, you guys didn't even want an autograph...... Mary said, "nope, how about your shirt." LOL! He laughed, waved, and that was that. It was a great day at the airport, and it came to my mind last night thinking of Brady.

I think Montana and Brady are very much alike!! Winners.
Whatever, he has made a whole new destiny now...
Montana's the best.
