Because the media doesn't value winning as much as it does stats. Manning gets stats and yet he can't beat a good defense. McNabb is a dynamin guy who has yet to prove that he can win the big game.

But, ESPN showcases these guys and undersells the guys who do it Al Davis' way...

JUST WIN BABY!!

I do believe he won a big game yesterday... rather convincingly.

There is not likely to be perfection in any football game.

I am very pleased that the Patriots won both games in the playoffs so far. Beating the Colts and Steelers as they did was a serious statement considering the Offense of the one and the Defense of the other.

I genuinely thought it was going to be Patsies and Eagles 3 years ago in the big dance. I certainly want my team to win it all, but beating these two teams this year was delicious indeed.

Good luck!

He was injured during the Pats game and missed several games. Bettis stepped up and the Steelers went with the hot hand. Seeing as how the Bus is going to the Hall of Fame no one can really say anything about giving him time.

Westbrook is a 3rd down back/spread out guy that needs to get touches. But, run him up into a tough defense and he won't last. I look at someone like Corey Dillon who looks to hurt people when he hits the pile and that's what I want in a running back. I'd take Westbrook on my team anyday and use him to screw with the other teams' defense. I'm just not going to rely on him to control the clock late in the game.

After losing it 3 years in a row? And, he beat a pretty one dimensional team. Yes, he has grown over the years but I do happen to think that Rush was talking out of his ass last year when he made the comment about McNabb being a media creation instead of a guy with some talent.

But, until he wins the Bowl, he's an ESPN regular season highlight segment.

Maybe so, but the Eagles dont stand a chance against the Patriots D, especially the secondary. Todd Pinkston will take a Rodney Harrison hit over the middle and wont catch another pass. Thats exactly how Carolina beat the Eagles last year, they kept hitting the receivers hard off the line and by the 3rd quarter they were just too worn out to play well.

The Eagles just arent that good-NE 44 PHL 14

Watch out for that Pats D. They were pretty irritated about not getting the shutout against the Colts. They just might set a goal of getting the first Superbowl shutout, not sure they'll get it but if they try hard they could hold the Eagles to FGs. It's a really good defense that plays mean.

Ask the 2001 Rams about the Pats secondary. They hit the receivers harder than they had been hit all season. For the Eagles, who really havent played any tough defences all year, this will be there downfall..

Pittsburgh's defense knocked the hell out of them.

Since we use the short passing game to control the clock with the lead, Westbrook suits our purposes just fine. No, he's not a bruiser, but he's a strong little sucker who can break tackles and make people look silly in the open field. He's a hell of a running back, even if he's not the protoypical smouthmouth runner.

That's what you have to do against timing offenses, mess up the timing. It's going to be a tough climb for the Eagles, the good news for them is their defense is really good, but with Dillon the Pats offense is too dynamic. About the only way I see the Eagles winning is the same way both the Steelers and Fins beat the Pats: Brady plays one quarter like he's got a head cold and tosses 3 INTs. That'll take the Pats out of their game plan, force them to be one dimensional, and then they're beatable. But I don't see Brady doing that in the playoffs.

I bought my first TV at Grants in Newport RI when I was in the service. Probably '72.

I bought a Bradford from a Grants TV repair guy. He built it from parts. It would not die.

I expect to see a lot of Dillon in the game. The Eagles may blitz at their own peril.

Who the Pats? Yeah they got to Brady a few times, but Im not skeered. Eagles just arent that good of a team when it counts.

Try not to let your hatred for the Eagles or Philly fans drive you to say ridiculous things.

In two weeks Patriot fans will think that Tom Brady is wearing green.

Actually I've always thought the blitz worked better against the run than against the pass, nothing fills running lanes like a blitzing linebacker, but the LBs better be aware of who has the ball I have seen blitzing LBs miss the handoff and run right past the guy with the ball (which tends to result in a roughing the passer call as the LB doesn't stop to wonder why the QB is just standing there). Problem with blitzing on the Pats is they have a great short passing game, good enough to get them two rings before they had a legitimate running game, and the short pass is the ultimate nemesis of the blitz. Johnson's pretty smart though, I have serious doubts he'll go blitz happy against the Pats.

By that do you mean the Eagles will be able to get to Brady?

Isn't Tom Brady the one who campaigned for Hillary Clinton? Anyone who does that does not get my vote. However, same could be said about the name, "Heinz" on a stadium. Maybe they ought to change the name to Gin Raisin Stadium.

May the best team win.
