BRITISH Muslims are to boycott this weeks commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz because they claim it is not racially inclusive and does not commemorate the victims of the Palestinian conflict.
Iqbal Sacranie, secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, has written to Charles Clarke, the home secretary, saying the body will not attend the event unless it includes the holocaust of the Palestinian intifada.
He said similar events held in other European countries was an inclusive day that commemorated deaths in Palestine, Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia, as well as the former Nazi death camps.
We wrote to the Home Office three or four weeks ago. We said the issue of the Holocaust is not really the concern. But we have now expressed our unwillingness to attend the ceremony because it excludes ongoing genocide and human rights abuses around the world and in the occupied territories of Palestine, he said.
Home Office officials have told the council, which represents more than 350 Muslim organisations, that they are considering the request. But officials have no plans to broaden the remit of the occasion because they fear it would infuriate the Jewish community.
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Tony Blair will attend the ceremony in Westminster Hall this Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps, in which more than 6m Jews were exterminated.
More than 600 Holocaust survivors living in Britain, together with British soldiers who helped liberate the Bergen-Belsen death camp, will be at the event. Jack Straw, the foreign secretary, and Prince Edward will fly to Poland for a ceremony at Auschwitz.
This weekend the boycott by the leaders of Britains 1.2m Muslims was condemned by Khalid Mahmood, the MP for Birmingham Perry Barr. Im proud to be a Muslim. But if people are boycotting this then I think its a mistake. People who were exterminated in the Holocaust were not just Jews. There were Romany gypsies as well. Anybody who is interested in human rights should support this remembrance.
The boycott is an embarrassment for Clarke, who as the cabinet minister responsible for faith communities is the events official host. It has also angered the Jewish community, which sees it as a snub to the memories of Holocaust victims and to survivors.
Blair said: It is our hope that Holocaust Memorial Day will provide a focus for reflecting on that tragic event, and on our shared and individual responsibility to work for a more just and tolerant world.
British muslims celebrate the 9-11 attacks and denounce Holocaust memorium.
WAKE UP EUROPE. The wolf of Islamonazism is at your door.
People can barely get a grasp on 6 million Jews murdered in the concentration camps, let alone another 4 million "others" in the camps, let alone millions more in combat. Don't even try to get started on how ignorant the world is on how many millions of people were murdered in the Soviet Union (the numbers dwarf Hitler's camps).
People have a difficult time dealing with numbers (which is why the footage of the bodies from the camps is shown). 45million babies have been aborted in America since Roe v. Wade yet it is still "offensive" to educate people about this type of murder. And don't try informing the public that Margaret Sanger was a proponent of eugenics just as Hitler was. "Planned Parenthood" is supposedly about "wimmens' rights".
Now we find ourselves in the midst of a new bloodbath yet we never saw a single dead body from the 9-11 attacks. The media tried quite often to get images of coffins and even combat images of dead soldiers as well as injured Iraqis on the air and in newspapers.
I think they would boycott the a commemoration of the victims of the Palestinian Conflict if there was one, because the victims are the Jews. When a Mass Murderer gets gunned down in a shootout with the Police he is not the "Victim".I know it is hard for a Muslim to understand this simple point, but the world does not rotate around their speaking orifice.
Why, what a surprise. Why don't the muslims just have a big party to celebrate the Holocaust? That's how they really feel, so why not own it?
And not a minute too soon. Why must more innocents die at the hand of these bloodthirsty cultists?
Then you aren't looking for the praise and gratitude of jews to those who liberated the few that were left from the camps. Some wept at their feet, others were terrified to leave the allies, fearing the Nazis would be back. If you visit the Holocaust museum, there are many many examples of Jews thanking their liberators.
Don't blame Hitler's Jewish victims because some sources neglect to mention his other victims. I'm sure if the dead could speak they would not allow Hitler's other victims to be forgotten. And they ARE mentioned in almost every serious discussion of Hitler's crimes. Maybe you are not looking in the right place.
I get so sick of people blaming dead jews because some people feel his other victims didn't get enough "air time". I am sure the dead jews, if they had a choice, would gladly trade this dubious distinction for their lives and the lives of their poor children.
In the interests of accuracy, being "buddies" and participating in the Holocaust are two different things. Further, the Grand Mufti is not "most Muslims."

Perhaps. But the majority of muslims either do not believe the Holocause occurred or are sympathetic to its ulimate goal; which was to annihilate all Jews. How do YOU feel about that goal?
Hitler's other victims are not forgotten--I have read many accounts of Hitler's atrocities and his destruction of Catholics, gypsies, homosexuals and anyone who opposed him are well documented.
The Jews were singled out only because they were the only group he wanted to destroy COMPLETELY and the only group he kept on killing even after it was clear the Nazis had lost the war.
Sometimes I wonder where Satan is at the moment--who he might be operating through--and then I read a statement like this. At the bottom of that statement is hatred, not love.
A gift is not given seeking gratitude. Sacrifice is not made for recognition. Love seeks no reward, it is freely given.
Could you please elaborate on why Mein Herr Adolph had enormous hatred for the Jews.
He doesn't think the other deaths are "as important" as the Jewish deaths either. Apparently this is a common belief amongst Jews and their supporters.

The above statement is reprehensible. Jews don't consider their deaths (excuse me, murders) more "important" than others. You are making a blanket generalization about Jews that you cannot back. I am a messianic Jew (A Jew who believes in Jesus as lord and savior) and I mourn all of Hitler's victims. I urge a visit to the Holocaust Museum so that you can get a better understanding of how we feel, instead of just assuming we think we are more important than anyone else. Remember, Jesus was born a Jew. What would Hitler have done with his family?
Why not acknowledge that Hilter and Stalin were both evil men, with millions of victims, Christian and Jew to both their legacies? Why must one eclipse the other? Is it sporting to blame the dead jews because the MSM chose to concentrate on Hitler instead of Stalin? Are you aware that Stalin was also a jew-hater and killed millions of jews as well as Christians and dissenters?
Why do I have the ungallant feeling that you blame the Jews for Hitler's notoriety when compared to Stalin's? I hope I'm wrong.
Please read my post #76.
And were my Jewish relatives any less human than your Polish relatives? Why can't agree that Hitler and his minions were the evil ones here--and not the Jews who got in his way?
This document really tells the whole story regarding the Nazi origins of the anti-Israeli, Arab-Muslim movement:
The slaughter of millions of Christians AND Jews was the tragedy. And about 6 million jews died in the camps, not 20,000.
Christians and Jews must unite to fight the common islamic enemy who wishes to see both groups dead. United we stand, divided we fall. We must stick together to prevail.
Jesus would weep at some of these hateful anti-jewish posts.
I have the simplest retort -- F*CK THE MUSLIMS! Every single one of 'em. I am sick and tired of these primitive j*erk*ffs screwing up my life and the lives of my fellow Americans and other freedom-loving people around the globe. These animals exhibit no desirable traits for existence in today's world. Sooner or later the sh*t will hit the fan and in a big way.
The Jews have been described as "the canary in the coal mine of the world." And the Muslims persist in the persecution of the Jews. A pox on their houses!! SSZ
You are certainly correct that we can't really grasp
the scope of such tragedy. Soviet scholars estimate that
about 20 million perished in the Stalin purges and the
gulags. Stalin himself was aware that these numbers
couldn't be truly comprehended. He said,"One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic." Unfortunately, he
was right about the limited human capacity to absorb
horror on such a scale. This is one of the tragedies of
history and why Santayana said, "Those who don't remember
the past are condemned to relive it."
"Muslims are to boycott this week's commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz because they claim it is not racially inclusive and does not commemorate the victims of the Palestinian conflict."
The Jews *are* the only victims of the "Palestinian" conflict, but the Holocaust is still regarded as something separate and unique. This is despite the fact that the Holocaust is part of the ongoing war against the Jews, and the Arab / Moslem mass-murder of the Jews in the Middle East is rooted in the Holocaust.
