The whole premise of this editorial is that the authors of the sticker dont know the definition of theory, and the judge should have ordered them to write it 100 times. However, the Register let the judge off the hook! According to the brilliant editorial board, Those who want to discredit evolution by calling it a theory are actually declaring that it's almost certainly true.
Last time I checked, the definition of fact was not, Something that is almost certainly true. Therefore, the stickers on the books are correct. The judge is the one who should be lambasted for not knowing the definitions of words. The sticker, factually speaking, is correct. The Registers own editorial validates it. Evolution is a theory, not a fact.
But that doesnt fit in with the view of the obviously secular editorial board of the Des Moines Register, does it? No, because its a standard ploy by evolutionists to denigrate creation by insinuating that creationists are not intelligent enough to differentiate between fact and theory.
Oops! There I go again. I forgot. There is no difference. The words are interchangeable. Didnt Joe Friday used to say, Just the theory, maam?
Heres the part they dont get because they cant relate. Believers dont need to get into a semantic battle over the word theory in order to discredit evolution. Words will not make us change our faith. Even if some scientists come out tomorrow and say evolution is 100% fact, I wont believe them. I will simply believe God created the theory of evolution to weed out the non-believers from the true believers.
Thats a fact.

Theory
NOUN: pl. the·o·ries
- A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.
- The branch of a science or art consisting of its explanatory statements, accepted principles, and methods of analysis, as opposed to practice: a fine musician who had never studied theory.
- A set of theorems that constitute a systematic view of a branch of mathematics. Abstract reasoning; speculation: a decision based on experience rather than theory.
- A belief or principle that guides action or assists comprehension or judgment: staked out the house on the theory that criminals usually return to the scene of the crime.
- An assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture.
I don't see anything in there about it being "as close to true" as it can be. Maybe they were talking in the relativistic sense...

It's just a matter of time until the Democrats try to bring back literacy tests as a requirement to vote. Of course, the test will be designed to only screen out those 'ignorant' Republican-Christian-conservatives.

I always love how these journalists - who probably never took a science course outside of freshman biology - always become scientific geniuses when they write about evolution.
It would fun to get a panel of editorial writers on TV and ask them questions about Darwin/evolution/DNA and listen to their answers.

... God created the theory of evolution to weed out the nonbelievers from the true believers. Well, finally, in print here it is, once and for all.
If there was a Darwin Award for the written word, your statement would rank right up there.

Exactly. All these "scientists" have are their earthly "theories" -- what we're talking about is FACT. Its right there in the Bible -- that it is true. Why can't these people see that?!

creationists are not intelligent enough to differentiate between fact and theory.
Neither can evolutionists. For talkorigins.org, evolution is both a theory and a fact. Have your cake and eat it too.

Creationists stupid? I think not...
Obstinate ? Stubborn ? Possibly..
( I tend to agree with you on your interpretation.. God created the Universe.. It only stands to reason God created evolution.. Why argue over the details? )

Yep, just a theory. Like the... oh, say, Theory of Gravity. I guess since that's just a theory, we might all suddenly fly off the Earth. After all, it's just a theory, not a fact.
Or the Theory of Relativity. I mean, who knows if those atomic weapons will really work or not? It's just a theory.

I believe in creation, and I'm not stupid. Well okay my mom says I have no common sense.

Evolution is a fraud. Certain proteins are expressed in the developmental stages of human embryos (or any animal). These proteins induce the formation of organs. However, if these proteins are continually expressed, cells will become cancerous. I would like for the evolutionists to explain how THAT process "evolved". If evolution is "fact", then the embryo would initially ONLY produce these signaling proteins. Therefore, you could NEVER evolve because all forms of life would become extinct due to the constant upregulation of these proteins (cancer). They would NEVER have the chance to "evolve" and put the 'brakes' on these proteins after initial development (as they currently do). Also, if evolution is "fact" then how did Insulin and Insulin Receptors "evolve"? EVERYONE NEEDS INSULIN!! Was the insulin produced first with nowhere to bind? Was the IR produced first? The insulin signaling pathway (shown below) is too complex and too well organized to have just "evolved".
This is just one example....think of the many, many, many other receptors in the human body as well.....how did they "evolve"? Any way you boil it down, signaling pathways in the human body are too complex to be explained by a stupid and outmoded theory such as evolution. The belief in evolution is in reality it's own religion, many use it to explain that there is no god. I'm not particularly religious, I definitely believe in God but don't accept Creationism in a literal sense. I sure as hell know that evolution is a fraud. I know the history behind the Scopes Monkey trial, the ACLU and how they used it to push evolution into the classroom around the early twenties. The founder of the ACLU stated that America would never knowingly allow socialism to take over. The ACLU needs to be locked up in Guantanamo bay with their terrorist brethren.

I will simply believe God created the theory of evolution
Only Creationists and others who do not keep up with science have used the term Theory of Evolution. The proper term is evolutionary science.

actually it is more of a concerted effort to lable all religion as stupid. If you are religious in any way shape or form then you are "stupid".
This is why the left is trying to make all oposition to them "mere religion". This is why the DNC blames christians for their losss. This is why the homosexuals blame "mrere religion" for acceptance of homosexual behavior.
Make no mistake, bashing religious people is not about mere creationism/evolution doctrinal debates, it is about creating a political scapegoat.

That's a really sick joke He's playing, then, since He created so much overwhelming evidence supporting evolution. What sort of twisted deity would give his creations minds, and then damn them if they use them following the lies that he planted to deceive them?
Please explain.
