OK, we've all talked about doing it - Drop by here and report all the Damn Dimes you're specifically going out and spending today. Talk about getting 'bang-for-your-bucks', we can counter-protest the loony lefties today, drive the DUmmies nutz, celebrate the innaguration of OUR President, and stimulate the economy - all at the same time! Let's see just how much money the FReepers can spend today!
And don't forget to top off your gas tank too.
Gotta run .... there's $$ burning hole in my wallet.
$50 refill on a gas card
$30 in groceries
$15 breakfast
$9 lunch (chinese)
$8 energy bars and bottled water at Kroger
Grand total (so far)
$112
Have an appointment in a few hours for my car starter to be replaced!! Dropping $253.00. (2,530 damn dimes!!)
OK, here's my brainstorm and I hope this doesn't violate a Freeper Rule (if it does, I apologize and just ignore or pull this) but if you visit my family business website today and buy some AMERICAN coffee from our family-owned coffee farm in Kona, Hawaii, I will happily donate 10% of all gross sales dated today to Free Republic. That's a promise. The site is www.alohaislandcoffee.com
Three people from this house flew to Florida today; count that!
I bought a breakfast burritio..$3.00
I'm such a slacker....
There's a shiny new Walther P22 that's calling to me. I don't have a .22 pistol...so I need one, right?
Absolutely, you need a .22 pistol. Oh, and don't forget to BLOAT!!
Doom3?
I'm in! Gonna get the oil changed in my car, fill up the empty tank with gas, buy groceries and tonight think I'll take my children out to dinner...I'm celebrating this day!
AND if you feel inclined to drop a few to a worthy cause, fellow freeper Patriciaruth could use the dimes for troop support.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1273305/posts?page=553#553 (hope that link works)
I just purchased some of your Diamond coffee with French Press.
Thank you for your efforts on behalf of Free Republic.
made a trip to the local (well, nearby) gun shop and bought a fair amount of 7.62x39 ammo, and plunked some cash down on a ruger 22 target pistol.
lordy, I cannot wait until april - I'll be debt free and then, I swear, I'm going to really irritate HCI with my purchasing habits.
B.L.O.A.T.
Looking forward to seeing all the help wanted ads for available jobs in my area...Hope many, many democrats didn't go to work today, and their bosses fire them for it!!
YEAAA .. My power is back on
I'm stuck home all day due to a sick kid
But thanks to Al Gore .. I can shop on the Internet :0)
Hmmmmm ... What shall I buy???
I was playing online last night, and had a semi-unprovoked "clash" with a lib. While playing Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat (under the name "Liberalism Is A Disease", hence the semi portion of unprovoked), there was a player who was pi$$ing and moaning about something, and I finally told him (via the text-based chat system in the game) to quit whining. That set him off into a tirade about how we are all slaves to the credit card corporations, automakers, etc., blah blah blah blah blah; the standard Howard Dean-like rants of a left wing loonie. He was pretty much alone in his rants, as several of the other players jumped all over his flaming liberalism (including a player named Kerry LIES; wonder if he/she is a FReeper?). He then resorted to name calling, and thus gave us verification that he truly was a lib.
Want to really irritate them?
Shop the GeorgeWBushstore.com!
I got the HP Pavilion zv5010us - 15 inch widescreen hi-def, AMD 64 bit processor running at 1.8ghz (the 3000), 512mb ram, 60gb HD, firewire, 3 usb, and the best part - A Harman/Kardon speaker system that is the best sound I've ever heard from a laptop that wasn't a custom built job.
Mucho pleased - would have replied sooner, but I was watching a movie in better quality than anything I have at home.. And while I was watching it, everyone else at work had to come over and watch it as well.
I plan to go through the expansion on the new rig (already played through D3 on my old rig 3x).
