I'm so bummed. I was supposed to go to the Freeper Ball tonight and my dog got sick and ate up my spare money for the ticket. But I'm there in spirit!
Speaking of my sick dog, I darted out as the parades started to take my dog to the vet. Asked my vet if he'd caught any of the innauguration. Let's put it this way...he was friendly when I went in. When I left (and he AND his receptionist) realized I was Republican and a Bush supporter the air got VERY chilly. He was talking about the cost of the innauguration..."waste, waste during war time!"
Wish I'd chosen another time to go to the vet!

We used to do that to mating dogs. Hopefully the protestors just went into a corner and started licking themselves for comfort. I do so worry about them. not.
We are lucky- our vet is a former Marine. He's really great, but of course the cats act like he's the devil in green scrubs.

You're right. My nephew is in his sophomore year there; his freshman year was rough. Glad that's over.
The drill field on the Virginia Tech campus is so impressive, and it's very cool to see the ROTC cadets marching.
