55th Inauguration And Day's Events - Live Thread
Did ya hear Shep talking about the guy yelling triva questions in a bull horn
Shep sounded a little annoyed *L*
Thanks, I didn't recognize Jenna Bush the grandmother. And obviously the AP photographer didn't either or he might have included her in the caption.
Yes, Dan and Marilyn Quayle were there :).
ROFL!
Thanks. I read it. The left do want to bring us down. Ain't gonna happen though.
Some woman now claiming that Laura Bush had her arrested for wearing a t-shirt..
Wasn't that guy in Saturday Night Fever?
Whoever they are, they are certainly braving the chilly weather.
Jenna WELCH. : ) Laura Welch Bush's mother.
I just saw Carter and Clinton but with my back to the TV I really haven't paid much attention to any others. I hope the protestors don't ruin an otherwise wonderful day for our First Family as they make way for the parade.
Contrast him with the stupid protesting morons acting like they are being totally brutalized by the cops. Sister, you don't know what brutalized means.
Beautiful hurricane glasses they gave them, they are huge!
What was the other speech where the President said the line -
"There is one country, one constitution, and one future that binds us."
Wasn't it in his election victory speech? Cool line, reminds me somehow of Lord of the Rings.
The bad thing is that I'd never see him. I like him, but NEVER watch CNN.
Do agree that representation to the leftist audience would be a good thing.
There is a lot of refusal to face facts in muzzie supporters on this forum.
We left pretty early to go to 1st street where we were to enter the Capitol grounds to observe the ceremony.
We left the Judiciary Square Metro Station and passed the 3rd Street Parade Security check-in station where there were gathered a mob of the leftist protesters screaming all sorts of stuff in chaotic cacaphony. They managed a "Hey Hey Ho Ho George Bush has got to go" but it soon petered out. They were mostly young and female. It is very obvious that one of the worst outcomes of the sexual revolution is hordes of dedicated but completely deluded young females.
I was approached by one old guy with a get out of Iraq sign. I won't repeat what I told him but he was taken aback by someone taking him to task for his actions.
We moved on down to 1st Street and joined the throng to the Green Standing area security point. The line stopped moving and for 45 minutes it seemed no one was allowed to pass. We stood in the crowd for 2 hours and never got to the security point to present our green tickets for entry to the close up standing area.
The crowd was disappointed but not disheartened. we got to yell "loser loser" at a 30 something stringy haired blonde woman who had no ticket and was kicked out at the security area.
she was screaming anti Bush stuff but was thouroughly drowned out by the good guys.
We made it to within site of the dias and could see the President giving his speach on the jumbotron. We and several undred others never made it through the security area onto the Capitol grounds.fnever made.
We did see the President and his Limo and motorcade passing just in front of us on Constitution Ave as it made its way to the Capitol. Fifteen minutes or so later there was another thought ot be the Vive President.
We did not have it in us to fight the crowds any more to get to the FReeper occupied "American Area" and are watching on Fox News. By the way, we saw the Canadian Flag sometimes visable behind Brit's panel in the Fox DC Bureau. It about 2 blocks from the Union Station Metro Station, out destination.
The metro ride back to our Crystal was easy and we didn't have to squeze together as we had earlier in the morning when all cars were stuffed to capacity.
It's 2:30 and only 4 hours till the FReeper ball!!!
What scum a.n.s.w.e.r are.
Thank you America news information

Missed it as I tuned in to C-span to break away from Ceci's mundane chatter.
