For such a "happy person" you certainly seem to have been completely derailed and sidetracked by 7/2000ths of the comments on this thread.I'm "happy" to be the one that points out the hypocrites, malcontents, and unappeasables. You're right about that.
For some reason, you all believe you should be able to trash George W. Bush without anybody else challenging you.
Not here; not today; not for the next four years.

It doesn't bother you that the mojority of people in Ulster (Northern Ireland) WANT to remain part of the UK? - the IRA 'represent' a minority trying to impose their will on a majority.

I don't pay attention to Kristol much because he is so fickle
Yeh. Kristol knows the Bush Admin is there for another 4 years. Kristol is playing nice, hoping to improve his stature with the 'in' crowd of this White House, after his months of criticism.

I was thinking more along the lines of one who would roll back in horror upon seeing a vampire (re: seeing the 'Beaste). Hillary isn't even close to being a vampire. She just sponsors them with more welfare legislation. ;o)

My wife and I are truly happy and we are so glad that West Virginia stayed with Bush! God has blessed America once again!
I hope the day will never come when we get a president who will take God from our nation. That will be a sad dark day! Grassontop

The subject of profiling wasn't being discussed on this thread and wasn't even in my thoughts when I wrote the comment about the Japanese and Pearl Harbor. My point being, that just because all terrorists are muslims, doesn't mean that all muslims are terrorists. just like all Japanese weren't our enemy in WWII, yet the government chose to racially profile every person of Japanese origin and put them behind the walls of a camp. Racial profiling is fine when it comes to providing security on planes, trains, etc. But it shouldn't be part and parcel of the way we live or be a part of a person's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
People who have a problem with the President's mentioning of the word "Koran" in his speech should then also have a problem with his calling for an end to the hate that divides us in this country, because their attitude is part of the hate that the President was talking about. Like it or not, he is afterall, the President of all the people, no matter their ethnic background, or their religious preferences. And while I also at times have a difficulty separating the terrorists from all Muslims, I try to remind myself that I have known good Muslims during my life, as well as I have known bad Catholics.

What an excellent speech! I was watching it with my husband and could not come in to comment. Fox people are gobsmacked by it (which is good).
A stirring speech. I also liked Reverend Kirby-John Caldwell's prayer, especially where he asked the Lord to deploy his heavenly host in our defense.
