Just heard, apparently police are out in force after hearing of the threat

Don't worry, even if it's real you aren't in much danger unless you are standing on it when it goes off. Some people will die of cancer a decade or two too early.

It'll hurt the economy worse than anything.

I know that sounds a bit harsh, especially to the families of victims, but the dirty bomb operates more on panic than anything.

Far from taken up for China, but just because there may be some chinese involved in the jihad, does not necessarily mean that the Chinese government and other chinese people are involved. Remember there were/are Americans working with, along side Al Queda. We also have/had red blooded Americans participating in the jihadist campaign. Are we going to blow ourselves off the map?

I was just reading one of the other threads. Which says, in part:

`They got a call from across the border in Mexico to the California Highway Patrol and he said he brought two Iraqis and four Chinese (individuals) across the border and according to him, they stated soon to follow behind them would be some sort of material,'' said a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation.

``He refers to some sort of nuclear material that will follow them through New York up into Boston.''

According to the source, the caller has not identified himself and did not show up for a meeting with federal investigators in California but he did leave pictures of four Chinese men and some names at a ``drop'' site at the Mexico-California border.
