Theories Emerging in NJ Family Murders (Family cousin translator in trial of Lynne Stewart)

(Jersey City-WABC, January 17, 2005) — A massive turnout is expected this morning at the funerals of a Jersey City family. The family was found bound, gagged and slashed to death on Friday.

The police are talking about robbery and religious hatred as motives. But ABC News has learned the FBI sees a possible link to a terror trial now underway in New York.

The bodies of Hossam Armanious and his wife and two young daughters will leave from Journal Square for the church at around 10:00 this morning. The coffins will arrive at the church just around 10:30 for the funeral service.

Thousands are expected to attend. And many of those are very fearful because there are no arrests in this case.

There are still several theories on the table as to why all this happened. There is doubt and uncertainty in this close-knit community.

ABC News has learned that the slain family's cousin has been a translator working for the prosecution in the trial of Lynne Stewart. She is the radical lawyer accused of smuggling messages from imprisoned Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, to terrorist cell members and associates.

All right, that does it. You're on the double secret probation watchlist, too.

Nita is an evil troublemaker. Her completely irrational feud with me goes back years to the time she was taking hippie drugs and claiming I was her dad. Or dog. Or something. Or maybe I was taking the drugs.

It doesn't matter. She's bad.

is not taken without a fatwa...there's an imam behind this evil deed.

May be a bit naive....are all murders the result of an Imam's specific fatwa....or can some be just the action taken by a generally issued fatwa? Any one know?

"Fear and intimidation. Silence the opposition."

Retribution for 'sullying' the name of Islam. Daring to suggest that the 'prophet' is anything less than 'sinles and divine' ... automatic fatwa issued by imam. Look no further than the local mosque. Culprit can be found with bum in the air, praying to moon-god aka allah.

On the news this morning, Fox BTW, talking head detectives were tip toeing around these murders, offering robbery as motive, describing some wounds (the stabs to the girl's wrist which had a cross tattoo) as defensive wounds. Now I read the victims were bound and gagged and slashed. Now I read of a connection with a trial translator.

The cops better cut out the PC BS. Bound and gagged with throats slashed doesn't fit into a robbery scenario IMO. Ritual murder does.

He didn't really mean that in a bad way. You just have to read between the lines. That's "dog-speak" for "She's a terrific gal and I think very highly of her."

I don't know. But islamist fanatics are cowards, little weasels, they rarely act on their own initiative. They need to be certain that allah will reward them - it's easier to be sure, and ask the imam first. Mind you, it takes nothing special to call oneself an imam. Any jerk with a penchant for terror can achieve imamhood, like mohammad, all they need is enough followers to start taking up collections...they call that charity...hey, we have an 'imam' here, egyptian born, who has been charged with smuggling antiquities, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and inciting violence.
Who said you have to be 'holy' to be an imam? All you need is an addled brain and the motivation to get others to kill for your 'religion'
BTW, being an imam means never having to go to work. Being an imam means others support you! And you are, as an imam never guilty of anything either, 'cos you are only practicing your religion! Do I sound as if I hate imams? Of course not. (sarc.) I hate islam.

Now stop stalking me.

That was a joke - you claimed Dog Gone and myself were one and the same, so I wondered why you only pinged "1/2 of us".

I give up - 6 years and she don't understand my humor.
