I LIKE IT!
I keep hoping both the Eagles and Vikings will lose.
GO BIRDS!!
Got my tickets for tonite - sec 108, row 9. Will be there!
Falcons by a TD.
To be honest, I thought they were in for one last week. I still think the Steelers win easily though, 20-9.
My daughter sat in the row directly behind Fireman Ed a few games ago and said he's quite the character. Now he's doing a commercial to get the new stadium built.
Raise heck for me.
I'll be in section 156, seat one, of my living room.
vs.
this 'Skins fan is rootin' for the Steelers to go all the way.
Randy Moss plays for the Vikings... it's Santana Moss who plays on the Jets.
I was there for the Monday night game vs. the Fish. What a riot.
Ahh, I still can't agree with how the Steelers did him (though he holds no grudges) - Fact is Lloyd was coming back off an ACL tear in 1997...he was just getting back to his old form (won AFC Defensive player of the month award for OCT)....and then he tweaked his ankle pretty badly Vs the Eagles.....and instead of just sitting out....The Steelers team physician gave him a shot (in the ankle)...which later turned into Lloyd developing a life threatening staph infection (because of a dirty needle)...
Lloyd then battles back through that (instead of calling it quits....in which that case the Steelers would have owed him like $2.5 million)...he battles back to get clearance....and then they cut him...
That completely lost me to the Steelers....you just don't do a warrior that way.
I could live with letting go of Kevin Greene and Woodson (those were business decisions to a point...but they flat out did Lloyd wrong).
Hell, Lloyd practically willed the Steelers to the Super Bowl in 1995 (and then the offensive coordinator blew it Vs Dallas).
Will do!
Gonna be a good game.
Colts shock the world tomorrow - in a blizzard - Peyton throws six TD passes!!
No, not necessary. There are plenty of sports boards to talk smack. Let's agree to keep this one smack free.
OK?
That wasn't just a staph infection, it was septicemia . . . staph septicemia is system-wide blood infection. Lesser men die from this condition. Lloyd was lucky to survive.
It is not unreasonable for Steelers management to doubt his ability to return to top form on a sustainable basis.
Sounds good to me!!
