No Kid Rock at Bush concert
Committee backs off plan to feature rapper after pro-family Americans express outrage
Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all.
"He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND.
No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time.
Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance.

That's simply you saying what you think Jesus meant. Others may interpret it more literally, without allowing for the type of behavior they think is right.
Isn't there something in the Bible as well about presuming to know what Jesus/Gods intentions are?

An entire section of loyal Bush supporters are being alienated here. Let's call them the NASCAR section. They just want to have a good time and listening to Kid Rock is fun. Yeah, he can be raunchy but who isn't nowadays? JoJo??? She is a 14 year old who sings about love and relationships and other things 14 year olds have no business singing about. And most people attending the inauguration will be adults. Why subject them to children performers?I must say, I agree with you.

Not in that anyone was suggesting he not be allowed to perform ANYWHERE, you're correct.

I'm guessing that if I am masquerading to be something that I'm not, that I don't belong on this website?

Sean Hannity was on the Kid Rock topic today with callers and he had no opinion one way or the other. He asked Sweet Baby James to get in contact with him for a live call, may be tomorrow.

Actually, Kid Rock was never invited. But Wildmon never let a little thing like honesty get in the way of proclaiming his own greatness.

According to them, only "true conservatives" belong. and that means 100 percent aggreement with them.
You can see proof above - anything less, and they call you a "liberal". No room in their hearts/minds for anyone but whomever they can berate into submission.
Home life must be a real pip for them.......

"Proclaiming their own greatness."
Outstanding. I can think of nothing posted in my entire existence here that more accurately sums up the HTT crowd.
Well done!

What I kept thinking about KR when I heard he was going to perform is that is very good friend Kenny Chesney had him to an impromtu (is that spelled right)appearance at one of his concerts last year at Nyland Stadium in Nashville and the next day had to come out and apologize for the Rock's language....we don't need that at an Inauguaral event....that's my humble opinion....

I respect your opinion and you may be right about that. Maybe he misread the crowd I don't know. I do not defend what people do wrong but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Some crowds love it and some don't and entertaining to those crowds requires proper judgment. I bet he wouldn't do it again with him but at his own concert to his own crowd, probably.
