Patriots for Gore
Rich Marshall

Posted on 01/11/2005 4:50:39 PM PST by RichMarshall

Upon stumbling on http://www.patriotsforgore.com/, it seems we are much better off with the current slew of political zealots such as Michael Moore and Dan Rather as opposed to some of the nuts we could have instead ruling the political scene, such as these "patriots." With a claim of electoral victory for Al Gore in the 2000 election, the Patriots for Gore continue the fight to "restore" Al Gore to the presidency which he, as common knowledge dictates, never won. On their website is a petition to give the four year term to the ex-vice president to be forwarded to Congress with the intention of not only landing Gore a job in the White House, but also for a constitutional "remedy" in case a similar situation ever arrises.

In a letter addressed to Al Gore on November 18, 2004, the Patriots thank Gore for all he has done. They thank him for his inspiration and resolve to fight for electoral fairness, and they thank him for insisting on the recounting of key votes. As one would expect, however, there is no mention of the results of the recounts on the Patriots for Gore website. They refuse to acknowledge the recounts performed and Bush's declared victory and they refuse to acknowledge the successful war on terror waged by President Bush. Instead they take every opportunity to insist on how poorly our homeland security is and how September 11 was solely the result of the "illegitimate" presidency of George Bush.

These men, with total apathy towards George Bush, "denounce the results of the 2004 Presidential election without investigation into electronic voting anomalies, denounce any talk of a Bush mandate, and refuse to any longer submit to a status quo that enslaves the soul and stifles the voice." They demand investigations into the 2004 election as well as recounts in states lost. To stop there, however, would not be akin to their fanatical beliefs. The Patriots for Gore also question John Kerry and his early concession to George Bush. They continue their unwavering support of Howard Dean despite claiming to be non-partisan and only interested in fairness. They accuse the media of hiding all evidence proving both Gore and Kerry to be the victors, despite the media being anti-Bush.

To the unbiased viewer, it seems, the Patriots serve one purpose and one purpose only: to illegitimatize George Bush's presidency. They claim "these past four years have been years of tremendous turmoil, devastation, war, and the erosion of those principles that so many gave their hearts, souls, and lives to preserve." It is their belief that the current administration does not believe in the constitution, the rule of law, or in respecting the voice or will of the people. Truly, the Patriots for Gore are zealots in every sense of the word. Let us only hope Michael Moore doesn't stick around half as long as these men.

Another zone for cracked minds is unveiled. We don't need no stinking reality, we have the power of our minds to create whatever we want. Of course, they access their minds through copious use of drugs and mushrooms.

Patriots for Gore

Sorry, folks...a few typos and mistatements...the correct headline regards the heads of the Mendoza and Cortez families in Spain today who were confronted with the master el toro himself, Elmer the bull...

The headline should have read...

"Patriarchs were Gored..."

These idiots actually refer Gore and his Mrs. as "Our President and First Lady."

I'm gonna download a hardcopy of the site's opening page and put it in the medicinc cabinet. If the young'uns ever swallow something they shouldn't this'll be faster than Ipecac.

I think this website is an offshoot of the DU. Have you seen them posting for donation request in DUmmieland yet? Or perhaps they're pandering and asking people to read some article they just wrote like. "Gore is about to get into the game".

*Chuckle*

Just think about you instead of Gore. I'm sure I share a B-day with someone famous, but I try not to think about it.
