A 50-year-old nanny has been charged with child endangerment after she was caught on a nursery Web cam hitting and shaking the infant she was supposed to be caring for, cops said yesterday.Fook Moy of Elmhurst, Queens, was arrested after the 6-month-old's horrified mother watched Moy banging the child up and down on the floor, then placing a pillow over his head while smacking the pillow and yelling, "Stop crying! Stop crying!" cops said.
The parents, who live in Roslyn Harbor, L.I., told cops they hired Moy on Jan. 2 to cover while their regular nanny went on vacation.
Two days later, the parents found bruises on their baby's face and decided to watch the camera, which they had installed to keep track of their child's growth.

What's up with that tagline too?
Bye!He's dead, Jim!
I wonder if she has a sister named Fook Yu.
Knowing the type of people who live in Roslyn Heights, this does not surprise me. Selfish pr-cks.
NY is no place for a young family with kids. WAY too expensive.
That only encourages breeding for the sake of welfare checks and a life of no work --- and no father for the kids. That leads to too many problems for our society. If single moms don't want to marry a wage earner, then they have no business thinking that others must provide a nice living for themselves.
I know someone who was a nanny for a very wealthy couple. They sponsored her for her greencard and boy they made sure and got their money's worth too.
I don't think you need to feel guilty about that --- and that's different than being wealthy enough to have a live-in nanny and a camera set up to watch your kid grow but still having no time to care for the child. A day care setting is better in that in most of them, the workers are legal, and have background checks done on them, and usually are not alone 9 hours with the children to do what they wish to them.
Television seems to be promoting the nanny state --- I see ads for shows about completely incompetent parents who must have a nanny come in and do their parenting for them.
Well I know there are idiots who would do this, but many wouldn't. My mother got herself off welfare by going to school, and she wasn't a welfare breeder either. Our family went thru difficult times and we had to use the program in the way it was meant to be used. By the way, I've been productively employed most of my adult life(thank the Lord) and I've calculated that I've payed in taxes many times over, the amount of total benefits we received from welfare from 1976 to 1982.
So don't get all stuffy about welfare breeders and cheats, not every-one who uses the program stays on it more than a few years or so!
There really might be a welfare mother here and there who is just using it like a safety net until she can get on her own --- but the government doesn't do charity well --- it would be better to privatize most charity. Far too many --- around here the rate is something like 50% --- are having babies without fathers and it's intentional --- welfare is causing the illegitimacy rate to skyrocket. The destruction of the family is a terrible thing and in most cases children need a father.
"Moy claimed the pillow-hitting was a method used to discipline babies in China, a police source said."
Along with China's form of contraception, throwing unwanted babies into the nearest river. (argh)
Chicago is bad enough.
