Martin Sheen is presenting the best movie drama award, and if the speculation is right, Mel Gibson and his The Passion of the Christ will win.
Don't be upset, it's not a valid award anyway. From what I heard it was just a yahoo poll and the DU types slammed the votes over and over again...it's not really the most popular movie...except for the DUmmies that don't have jobs and spend all day clicking an online poll.
Arabs? In Hollywood? More info please....
I agree. I don't hate Moore...I don't respect him because he's a liar, but I don't hate him. He's done much for conservatives by putting a face to liberalism...even if it was his own ugly mug.
I'm sure most of the voting for the Moore-on was a stunt pulled by film school students/anarchists on semester break who did this to impress their profs and show their hate against traditional values.
Did everyone see the fox news story with McCuddy's commentary that Moore stuffed the ballot box to ensure he won the vote?
Moore cheated to get the award by paying his fans to repeat vote for the Moore fake-u-mentary.
This is a HUGE scandal.
COUNT THE VOTES! HANG THE CHADS ! OHIO WAS STOLEN! THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES WERE RIGGED! FILE SUIT! DEMAND A RECOUNT! ALERT RALPH NADER! CHALLENGE THE CERTIFICATION!
MOVE TO CANADA!
AArrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!
The voting was done via internet.
Fox's McCuddy reported that Moore paid third parties to stuff the internet ballot box via repeat voting. no joke.
Moore committed the act he accused others of doing.
I understand what you are saying...but The Passion is so much better than the propaganda that Moore puts out. This discussion is about doing the right thing and how the right thing loses in Hollywood most of the time.
"Passion people", as you put it, do not have the time to click away on their computers all day long like the anarchist set that loves Moore.
This is a HUGE scandal
It can't be a scandal...there can't be anyone in the US that's surprised by it.
I disagree. People's Choice Awards mean NOTHING. NADA. At leat it wasn't Mel begging people to vote for his movie like Moore did. That is truly pathetic. But it's still the same. And this thread isn't about "The right thing." This thread is about the People's Choice Awards being rigged.
I'm not suprised but I can be disgusted by their antics. I am also frustrated by their hatred and ignorance. One more thing: they stink and don't take showers.
Seriously, did you catch the goatee on Moore-on? The new hair design? He's being re designed and repackaged as we speak. El Bloato will probably do something about the xtra lard he carries around too. Politics?
I never, ever watch award shows. But Mel deserves a win.
What I thought was pretty funny, is that this award wasn't the big climax. It was just a bunch of noise, wedged in between "Best Cover Girl Smile" and "Best Reality TV" show.
Waited a few minutes, until it all blew over, and tuned in just in time to hear Mel Gibson get a huge standing O on receiving the award for Best Drama Movie for Passion of The Christ.
Way to go Mel! The people have indeed spoken!
Those awards are fake as MM himself. Him and his award represent lies!
I did not watch it...as I stated in something like post 2, I don't watch CBS...if he loses some weight good for him. Reminds me of that story about Churchill where some socialite said something to the effect of "Mr. Churchill, you're drunk" and his reply was something to the effect of "that may be true, madam, but in the morning I'll be sober and you'll still be ugly". In the morning Moore will still be a pathetic liar rather he has a goatee and a suit or his normal slob-wear TM.
"Oh no! How terrible! And here we only won the national elections!"
Great comeback. And so true.
And much, much easier on the eyes, too!
He paid people? Figures.
Though I wouldn't think he'd need to pay anyone. It's simple to rig these polls. I would think the Moore base would do it freely.
There really is no way to state this vote was legitimate. Passion has the box office to back it up. Spiderman was by FAR more popular than F/9-11. They are fooling no one. Though, it is amusing to watch the Libs treat this farce as more significant than Nov. 2nd. This is what they tried to do Nov. 2nd and couldn't. LOL
Moore dedicated his win to the U.S. troops fighting overseas and said he was "amazed'' that people voted his film their favourite.
"I love making movies and I'll take this as an invitation to make more Fahrenheit 9/11s,'' Moore said.
