How Socialists became Islamic terrorists

The Roots of Islamic Terrorism: How Communists Helped Fundamentalists 1/8/2005 By Antero Leitzinger This article traces the roots of Islamic terrorism, with special focus on Afghanistan. Notes are added on practical and philosophical problems of world media in finding the right track. From systematic errors in revealing little details, to serious misconceptions about basic facts and principles, we can relatively easily learn how much of "common knowledge" rests actually on superficial research and popular myths. Instead of becoming critical and aware of the traps laid around the issue, both Islamists and Islamophobes fail to recognize how they are manipulated.

Discussed often but not a lot out there on this topic. For those interested in the link between Communism and Islamic terror this essay provides a good summary of players.

There is also a direct link between Nazi Germany and Islamic Terrorism. Hitler had three divisons of NAZI Stormtroopers made up completely of Muslims and lead by Muslims. Here is the link, NAZI Germany's Connection to Muslim Terrorists

Communists also became Fasists. They are all flavors of the same mental problem -- a need to control others and an impatience with trying to achieve their goals through democratic means. They are totalitarians all and will all murder millions if given the chance. Heck, tens or hundreds of millions if given the chance.

Now, I will probably get some flack for this, but what about the links between:

Some christian sects and Islam
Neo-cons and socialistic idealism.

Cheers from a deeply christian neo-con (who is starting to doubt the neo-con agenda, but never christianity)

Judging from the garbage professors spew to their captive audiences, you are right.

I am usually not impressed by people who post without reading the entire article. However, this time I am guilty myself. i am just about to go out. I'll read it tomorrow. Should have met some friends of mine half an hour ago. Freerepublic is too addictive :-)

Cheers

I'll come back to read this later. It might explain the curious phenomenon that Al Rantel (gay;conservative) always marvels
about on his talk show on KABC in Los Angeles:
the (ahem) "union" between the Muslim student group and the Gay/Lesbian/Whatever
student group at UCLA.

As Rantel and his listeners marvel: as soon as the Muslims get what they want,
they'd happily execute everyone in the Gay/Lesbian/Whatever group.
The real question: what UCLA building will the Muslims appropriate
in order to have a wall to push over onto (and kill) the Gay folks?

(Rantel is on KABC, 790AM in Los Angeles, 11-11:45AM AND 6-9PM weekdays;
streams over the net at www.kabc.com)

Bawer is what I would call a Dennis Miller conservative.

What do you make of these guys? To my mind, they are our allies.

Cheers.

Your anecdote reminds me too of how the Left was decapitated literally in many cases in Iran after the Ayatollah consolidated his power.

But the Communists will do anything to get into power including cannibalizing their own...

yes, or how about US support for the autocratic, fascist regime of the Shah?
Antero Leitziger writes: "On June 2nd, 1967, violent student demonstrators met the Shah of Iran in West Germany." Yes, there was a student demonstration that day, but it only turned violent when supporters of the Shah (known as the "Jubelperser") started beating the students with batons in full view of the German police, culminating in the death of one student. This incident was a catalyst for many of the violent movements, e.g. the "June 2 Movement" and the Red Army Faction, in W Germany, as any serious scholar of political extremism in postwar Europe can confirm.

The Shah's regime sucked, the mullahs suck more. I am starting to think that people REALLY get the government they deserve.

The students - many of whom were just paid to create mayhem - were willing dupes.

Many of the lies and propaganda against the Shah of Iran have failed to materialize over the past 25 years. In fact, Iranians today are beginning to realize they made a grave mistake!

Try again...
