Now, I will probably get some flack for this, but what about the links between:
Some christian sects and Islam
Neo-cons and socialistic idealism.
Cheers from a deeply christian neo-con (who is starting to doubt the neo-con agenda, but never christianity)
Some christian sects and Islam

The references are in the article. Frequently noted on FR I might add unfortunately.
yes, or how about US support for the autocratic, fascist regime of the Shah?
Antero Leitziger writes: "On June 2nd, 1967, violent student demonstrators met the Shah of Iran in West Germany." Yes, there was a student demonstration that day, but it only turned violent when supporters of the Shah (known as the "Jubelperser") started beating the students with batons in full view of the German police, culminating in the death of one student. This incident was a catalyst for many of the violent movements, e.g. the "June 2 Movement" and the Red Army Faction, in W Germany, as any serious scholar of political extremism in postwar Europe can confirm.

Give us the links.
"...what about the links between: Some christian sects and Islam..."
Some scholars conclude that Islam was created by the Vatican. If you research the topic, there are striking similarities.
"Truly, the God of Catholicism and of Islam are compatible, but neither one is the God of the Bible!"

Not the only source for this correlation - but a good summary.
