"Not one Damn Dime Day", sounds stingy to me. Why can't Americans give more.

Change it to April 15th, and maybe you've got something there.

Basically the left hates the US. They hate capitalism. they hate our soldiers. they hate christians.
Lets see how well this little ditty does.

I say lets have Double Down Day. On inauguration day true American Patriots show support for the president and the Iraqi liberation by making as many purchases as possible. No need to spend more than you would have overall. Just wait to make as many of your normal purchases on January 20.
Oh, yeah, this is totally politically and patriotically motivated.

Does this make sense? It will probably cause a lot of Democrats to lose their jobs!

There's no rally to attend. No marching to do. No left or right wing agenda to rant about. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" you take action by doing nothing. You open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed.
The epitome of left wing idiocy. They will not announce what they are doing. So when sales are down for one day we are all to deduce that it means we need to get out of Iraq. Of course the next day sales will double but never mind that.

Does that mean I won't have to wait in line at Starbucks in Boston that morning?
To: Sprite518
"Not One Damn Dime Day" is about supporting the troops. The politicians put the troops in harm's way. What, exactly, are our troops for? It sure as hell isn't selling cookies, or walking little old ladies across the street. What a bunch of dumb*sses. My God, don't they realize that 99.9% of those men and women that signed up for the armed forces did so in order to protect our country?!? They are proud to be doing what they are doing, and I'm proud of them.

Oooh...I'm scared...this might be as effective as all those "don't buy gas on Tuesdays" and "wear blue jeans to show gay pride" days that spring up every few months.

"On "Not One Damn Dime Day," please boycott Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target..."
What no mention of Starbucks? Come on! It would be great to have at least one day with the line only half as long.

I keep hearing this thing about "illegal war". What the hell does that mean? What is a "legal war" in comparison? Is there a website that the left/socialist run that I may find the answers to my questions? These nonsense phrases are always used and never explained, so I assume it must be common knowledge that has somehow past me by.
Was WWII legal? WWI? The "war on drugs"? The "war on poverty"? I'm lost here.

Of course, in order not to spend a thing that day, they'll have to turn off their utilities including power and water. Since they're probably living in urban areas, they can't take the subway or the bus or a taxi to work. They can't drive their cars to work since they'd have to spend money for parking. One wonders if they've really thought this thru. Looks like they'll have to sit at home and freeze in the dark. Will anyone notice?

The most utterly stupid thing I have read in weeks.
If everybody who voted for Kerry decided to go one day without spending any money, it would be like there was a holiday or extra Sunday in that week. Nobody is going to feel it. That is not how markets work but, hey, we are dealing with Democrats.
