A leftist e-mail that is being sent out across the Internet.

Posted on 12/30/2004 6:05:55 AM PST by Sprite518

This is a good laugh. The leftist idiots are up to no good as usual. I doubt this will have any impact at all. You can see the mob mentality and intellect of the leftist in this e-mail. LOL!

Not One Damn Dime Day" - Jan 20, 2005

(Mark your calendars now)!!!

Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is "Not One Damn Dime Day" in America.

On "Not One Damn Dime Day" those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a 24 hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending.

During "Not One Damn Dime Day" please don't spend money. Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for impulse purchases. Not one damn dime for nothing for 24 hours.

On "Not One Damn Dime Day," please boycott Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target..Please don't go to the mall or the local convenience store. Please don't buy any fast food (or any groceries at all for that matter).

For 24 hours, please do what you can to shut the retail economy down.

The object is simple. Remind the people in power that the war in Iraq ! is immoral and illegal; that they are responsible for starting it and that it is their responsibility to stop it.

"Not One Damn Dime Day" is to remind them, too, that they work for the people of the United States of America, not for the international corporations and K Street lobbyists who represent the corporations and funnel cash into American politics.

"Not One Damn Dime Day" is about supporting the troops. The politicians put the troops in harm's way.

Now 1,200 brave young Americans and (some estimate) 100,000 Iraqis Have died. The politicians owe our troops a plan - a way to come home.

There's no rally to attend. No marching to do. No left or right wing agenda to rant about. On "Not One Damn Dime Day" you take action by doing nothing.

You open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed.

For 24 hours, nothing gets spent, not one damn dime, to remind our religious leaders and our politicians of their moral respo! nsibility to end the war in Iraq and give America back to the people.

Please share this email with as many people as possible.

MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH AND IN SPACE

Basically the left hates the US. They hate capitalism. they hate our soldiers. they hate christians.

But we hate them, so it all balances out in the end.

The epitome of left wing idiocy. They will not announce what they are doing. So when sales are down for one day we are all to deduce that it means we need to get out of Iraq. Of course the next day sales will double but never mind that.

Does that mean I won't have to wait in line at Starbucks in Boston that morning?

What, exactly, are our troops for? It sure as hell isn't selling cookies, or walking little old ladies across the street. What a bunch of dumb*sses. My God, don't they realize that 99.9% of those men and women that signed up for the armed forces did so in order to protect our country?!? They are proud to be doing what they are doing, and I'm proud of them.

Oooh...I'm scared...this might be as effective as all those "don't buy gas on Tuesdays" and "wear blue jeans to show gay pride" days that spring up every few months.

;-)

What no mention of Starbucks? Come on! It would be great to have at least one day with the line only half as long.

I suspect "IN SPACE" refers to the Project for a New American Century's proposal to create a new branch of the armed services called "U.S. Space Command," which would assume military control of space.

"Basically the left hates the US. They hate capitalism. they hate our soldiers. they hate christians. Lets see how well this little ditty does."

I predict it will be a colossal failure - like most things these perpetual haters touch.

I keep hearing this thing about "illegal war". What the hell does that mean? What is a "legal war" in comparison? Is there a website that the left/socialist run that I may find the answers to my questions? These nonsense phrases are always used and never explained, so I assume it must be common knowledge that has somehow past me by.

Was WWII legal? WWI? The "war on drugs"? The "war on poverty"? I'm lost here.

Don't Spend a Dime day is proceded by Stock up on Stuff day, which makes retailers very happy.

New IMacs under $500.00 should be ready to go.

Where?

They just talk big, not one of them will do this and if they did who cares.

Of course, in order not to spend a thing that day, they'll have to turn off their utilities including power and water. Since they're probably living in urban areas, they can't take the subway or the bus or a taxi to work. They can't drive their cars to work since they'd have to spend money for parking. One wonders if they've really thought this thru. Looks like they'll have to sit at home and freeze in the dark. Will anyone notice?

But do you really want to know the answers? Why?
Their whole premise during the election was that Bush lied about the war therefore making it illegal.
Didn't you hear all that during the election?

Instead of illegal wars lets concentrate on a war against illegals.

The most utterly stupid thing I have read in weeks.

If everybody who voted for Kerry decided to go one day without spending any money, it would be like there was a holiday or extra Sunday in that week. Nobody is going to feel it. That is not how markets work but, hey, we are dealing with Democrats.

And the left came unglued when someone in DU said they had heard that the conservatists suggested no one buy anything from the Clinton library inauguration. Except umbrellas, of course.
