Abbas: There will be no peace until Israel tears down separation fence

Taking his campaign to succeed Yasser Arafat to the foot of the West Bank separation fence, PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday there would be no peace until Israel tore it down.
"No (Middle East) peace can transpire with (Jewish) settlements and the wall," Abbas said with his back to the separation fence around Qalqilyah near the West Bank's boundary with Israel.
"We tell our neighbors: 'No matter how many settlements, walls or obstacles you build, it will not bring you security or peace," Abbas said.
The hearty welcome given Abbas at his first campaign rally in Jericho on Tuesday carried over on Wednesday to Qalqilyah and Tul Karm. Crowds repeatedly interrupted his speeches with cheers and people of all ages ran excitedly after his convoy.
Heavy security was draped around Abbas because of feared threats from militants opposed to peacemaking. However, local members of the al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed group in the mainstream Fatah faction that nominated Abbas for president, greeted Abbas and said they would vote for him.
Abu Salem, commander of the Brigades in Tul Karm, said gunmen would be receptive to Abbas's call for an end to armed violence, which has abated in most areas since Arafat died in November.
Abbas repeated his campaign theme that he would follow in Arafat's footsteps by vowing to seek a state in all of the West Bank and Gaza Strip with East Jerusalem as its capital and the "right of return" of refugees to what is now Israel.
Clearest evidence yet that the fence is effective.

And the Intifada has been a disaster for the Palestinian economy because the Israelis don't let them come in and work for them like they used to. And the reason (which should be obvious) is that the Israelis are a little tired of moronic Muslim homicidal bombers.
The wall was built out of desperation, and Abbas can blow it out his A$$as until the Palestinians stop training their children to grow up to commit suicide killing Israelis. This demanding that Israel lets down it's guard so they can more easily sucker punch Israeli citizens is obscenely ridiculous.

Tell me what is stopping Bush from articulating the unfair practice of accepting a one way street between the Muslims and the rest of us. 1) they are permitted to convert our citizens to Islam, and we are not allowed even to set foot in their country. 2) Saudi Arabia ships millions of Korans to the West, and we are not allowed even to carry one single bible in our pocket. 3)their laws punishes any one who converts to Christianity, and we have no reciprocation to such law.
Well, of course smart asses will say but our constitution, and freedom of religion crap? I say, we should apply that law to EVERY religion EXCEPT Islam. Simply, because it is the only religion that teaches violence, and don't allow same reciprocation. They burn our churches in their countries, and treat their Christian minorities with disrespect (NOT TO MENTIAN KILLING THEM AND RAPPING THEIR WOMEN).
WE are in a position, if we aligned the rest of the world with us to demand RECIPROCATION OF THE CONCEPT OF FREEDOM OF RELIGION TO ALL, otherwise Isolate them so much so that they will end up being beyond the stone age. Again, here you going to get the smart asses telling me the UN stinks, and the whole world is full of fools. My answer is simply HAVE YOU YOU SEEN OUR LEADERS INSISTING ON BRING THAT SUBJECT FOR DEBATE BETWEEN HEADS OF STATES, OR INTERNATIONAL FORUM? No, our leaders, and our people are happy to accept that we are the BITCH in the Saudi/American relationship.
B.S.! If the world is going to allow them to preach hate, and convert people by force, as they kill Muslims who convert to Christianity. THE ONE WAY STREET is illogical, and unfair. If the world wake up, and unite to hold them to the same standards, they will have to reform or be isolated. You are correct about that.
If the PLO were a democracy they might just vote to kill Jews. In a true democracy the majority can vote the minority onto boxcars and to their death. This is why the U.S. has the Bill of Rights, an indirect, representative democratic republican system of government, and a system of checks and balances. Democracy without limits would do nothing to protect Christians or Jews.
Palestinians do seem to choose their leaders from among their dimmest and dumbest.

The demand for RECIPROCATION OF THE CONCEPT OF FREEDOM OF RELIGION FOR ALL...I believe, must come from US! And the only means we have to make this demand, is through the ballot box.
There will be no peace until Palestinians tear down their terrorist factions. The fence is very good.
It is not a matter of "separation of church and state" or "interference in other countries affairs" or "disrespecting other countries traditions" or any of that crap that you will hear from the knee jerk liberals. It is a matter of teaching these bastards that if they don't respect their own Christian citizens, we will SELLECTIVELY DISRESPECT OUR OWN MUSLIM CITIZENS. May be that will force our Muslim citizens to apply pressure on their barbaric leaders. Or The Muslim dictators will finally realize that the day of getting away with one way street is over.
The US is the biggest most strongest nation, with biggest economy, and power to persuade others. If we take the lead of exposing the unfairness of that one way street, and without being arrogant about it; simply pointing facts of unfair practice, WE WILL CONVINCE MOST OF THE FAIR MINDED PEOPLE, INCLUDING MUSLIMS THAT CHANGES ARE OVERDUE.

That leads to another question; HOW are we to educate 'joe sixpack' and the appeasers, the cowards who would rather hide their heads in the sand than admit to themselves islam is a threat to all we hold dear? Ask them all to research, read a book or two, face reality...? Not whilst in the schools, little children are being taught that mohammad was a great 'prophet' and islam is one of the world's great 'religions' by teachers who belong to Left wing unions, and while schoolbooks, many provided by wahhabi sources free of charge infiltrate our education system.
I have often thought to myself that OSBL must be laughing -we are fighting amongst ourselves. The left labels the right as Nazi's...Ah, Democracy! We have the potential of destroying ourselves and islam...gets to pick up the pieces, that's what they are hoping for.
However, this is the first time in history that islam has been forced to live in the West, they are with us not as the result of conquest, but due to 1. Infiltration tactics. 2. Genuine refugees from terrible conditions.
I am reminded again of our afghani immigrants 100 years ago, without clerics to drive them into prayer five times a day or threaten them with death for apostasy, most of them assimilated, married into the local population including many aboriginal women, and subsequently drifted away from islam altogether.

Yes exactly. And there was no peace before the settlements, and there was no peace before Israel was created. Abbas can campaign and blather all he wants, he is not going to call the shots and if he tries, he will get about as far as Arafat got - which was to the point of misery and destruction for his people.
