Men: Beware how much soy you consume. It could change your behavior. It's long been known that soy is beneficial to women in a number of ways, but new research from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center indicates the same is not true for men. In fact, a diet rich in soy isoflavones, especially through the use of soy supplements, can have marked influences on patterns of aggression and social behavior in men, reports HealthDayNews. Isoflavones, which are found in soy protein, are a naturally occurring plant estrogen. For women, the benefits of a diet rich in soy are numerous. Soy can reduce the risk of various cancers, as well as osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and some postmenopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes

Now we know why the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor - too much soy in their diet.

Hubby is highly allergic to soy along with corn. Both together (cool whip, most snack foods) turn him into an instant a**hole. It is a hassle to avoid it (and I make many things myself (mayo, bread, cookies, twinkies, etc) but it is well worth it.
I also read an article that claims the increased soy in baby formula affects testosterone in boys and may contribute to the rise of homosexuality (along with cultural pressure).

I'm going to have a dinner of miso soup and tofu. Then I think I'll go out and whip up a few tsunamis.

Well, every vegetarian I ever met was an extremely nasty piece of work. Maybe this has something to do with it.

I knew there was a reason I avoided it all these years.....same reason dogs and cats know when to eat grass, I knew enough not to eat soy.

It also is reported to double the likelihood of dementia in men through problems metabolizing the estrogenic compounds.
Apparently women do not get have this effect.

Also, it has a short-term negative effect on the thyroid, which is mitigated by taking the USRDA of iodine each day.

yep, that definitely helps to explain the Kamikazes, they were "drugged" on massive amounts of soy before climbing into their one way mission planes.
