Jamieson conveniently forgets all the other shenanigans in the re"counts" -- the 8 or 9 "oh looky here" discoveries of ballots in blue King County, just as Gregoire needed more votes, for example.
But he's right about Republicans getting riled up.

If Rossi keeps it up for too long, the Dems will be thinking about him the way we do about Gore. At the same time, I am shocked! shocked! at how quiet the dems are over these miraculously appearing votes for their candidate.

What a dump. A decisive 130 vote victory???? Lawyers are now evil that the Democrats have the lead. Rossi should conceed.

Why reprint this tripe? Comparing Rossi (stake through the heart) to a VAMPIRE! What a totally twisted and distorted hack job opinion. Can you spell I-D-I-O-T?

The Republican position all along has been that both sides should be treated equally, and the law should be upheld in all cases.
The Democrats' cry was, "Count every vote!"
Now the law has been thrown out. The Republicans lost the battle to enforce the law.
Now the Republican position is still that both sides should be treated equally; the law has been set aside to include "extra" votes, so we must include all the extra votes.
The Democrats' cry is now "Stop counting! It's over!"

Meanwhile, state Republicans appear headed to court to try to validate ballots from other counties -- a last-ditch push to eke out votes. Never mind that those counties already certified their ballot results, effectively slamming the door.Except Thurston County added a vote for Gregoire after certification. If legal for one, then legal for all counties.

Are the Democrats still managing to keep the overseas military ballots from being counted, all the while finding boxes of no-chain-of-custody-ballots in obscure King Country warehouses which they insist be counted for the first time (and were)?

The overall country as a whole can stand to lose the WA governorship battle.
What we need to do is use this example on how Democrats steal elections in the courtroom, which has been their latest playbook ala 2000-Florida and 2004-Ohio. We have to win the public opinion against this before they succeed and illegitamely steal a presidential election.

"A decisive victory over Republican Dino Rossi" (130 votes) Oh know we have a decisive victory? Why is not that true in MSM with President Bush?
To: sionnsar
Count every ballot. They finished counting them in King County, now count the rest of the state. Especially the Republican counties.

This is insane. Rossi won the general, and Rossi won the recount. That's it. Game over. You can't keep counting until your guy wins. Completely nuts.

Dino should concede? Odd, I don't remember the MSM saying "concede" when Gregoire-Gore LOST both the election AND the first recount! In fact, when Gregorie-GORE said she would (and should) "pursue all legal options" the media fell quickly in line in behind her. Now, WE have choices. And guess what, libs? This time, DINO and WE are going to "pursue all legal options" ourselves. he he he really gets under your liberal skin, doesn't it? Get used to it, this is a different time, different place, AND different Republicans!

I saw her on the tube late Wed evening, and she had this sly smirk about her that was completely shameless.
Acting like she had won in a landslide, and there was never any doubt.
This is the same problem that many states have, being overwhelmed by the votes of the metropolitan districts.
It was disgusting. The even more disgusting thought is that she had her democratic minions tweaking the recount.
If I was a person who altered the recount, I honestly couldn't sleep at night.
