OK Guest Worker Program, With Conditions
Now, President Bush has proposed yet another program that rewards Mexico and Mexicans while penalizing U.S. citizens, the U.S. labor market, and the U.S. standard of living. Under the auspices of his "guest worker" proposal, illegal immigrants will be able to remain in the United States legally to find jobs "Americans don't want" (and for the record, I agree with talk radio legend George Putnam: It'd be awful nice if someone would identify which jobs specifically Americans "don't want").
Trouble is, Mr. Bush's plan is not that bad. It just needs some fine-tuning. Here goes.

"Good to see you back here, Teri."
Thank you :)
Thailand, Sri Lanka and other areas devastated by the tsunami were certainly full of terrorists as well as tourists. The African coastal areas were also affected and are also a breeding ground for terrorism. Time will tell what impact the tsunami will have on their ill-fated plans.
Officials watch whooping cough numbers
Nationwide, pertussis is at a 40-year high
Symptoms generally include runny nose, sneezing, coughing and fever. Coughing may come in spells, with a general wheeze after these that gives the "whooping" sound. These coughing spells can also result in vomiting, which may lead to malnutrition.

Evaluation of the Patient with Chronic Cough
If the cause of chronic cough remains unclear, high-resolution computed tomographic scanning of the chest, bronchoscopy, and referral to a pulmonary specialist may be indicated. The approach to diagnosing chronic cough in immunocompromised patients and children is similar to the approach in immunocompetent adults. However, a CD4+ cell count can help determine the potential for opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients.
Chronic cough is a common reason for physician visits in the United States and other industrialized nations.1-3 However, some patients with chronic cough fail to seek medical attention because of lack of concern or denial. This article presents a systematic, evidence-based approach to the evaluation of chronic cough. The approach is based on the results of prospective studies and an evidence-based practice guideline.1
Cough may be characterized as acute (lasting less than three weeks), subacute (lasting three to eight weeks), or chronic (persisting beyond eight weeks).

"Number of the beast" post?
Yup, isn't that the most interesting "welcome" to a Western based business they could have given?
Great post card! Needs to be printed and set out for sale at all our borders......after all, those good people help our economy with those tourism dollars (at least for the purchases of digital cameras and gasoline to get there).
"This all strikes me as strange. FedEx and UPS reserving all the vans AFTER Christmas. They must have some backlog!"
Backlog and/or returns...on-line shopping has really taken off; Amazon had a banner year and sites like Qvc have about 80 million customers world-wide.

Diva, here's the latest TM summary.
'Zilla, can you please add Ms. Ross to your ping list? Thanks.
Aw, poor little illegal immigrants... they "suffer from feelings of uncertainty, depression, loss of freedom and the shame of having to wear handcuffs." That's what you get when you enter Canada illegally.
Too bad the US either releases them and gives them a court date (which they don't show up for) or escorts them back across the border so they try again tomorrow.
Reporters and authorities either really need to stop trying to play things down or colleges and universities need to include a course on how to do it...
"The government official, who spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity, said it was unclear whether this week's incidents were the result of "kids who got a laser light for Christmas" or whether there is "some deliberate attempt to target aircraft."
"The airplane was about 15 miles from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Monday, traveling 300 mph at 8,500 to 10,000 feet when the green laser shined inside the cockpit, according to the FBI."
"FAA regulations mandate that laser light shows must register their locations and the lights cannot be directed above 3,000 feet."
If the airplane was 15 miles from the airport and 1-1/2 to nearly 2 miles high, traveling at 300 mph, that's beyond the scope of any child's toy. On another note, if anyone feels like doing the math, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out from what suburb it originated and whether any laser light shows were going on, although I seriously doubt that too.

I'm confused...I imagine you meant that you just told Quix what I said on the thread and something was posted but the link to the post is actually a link to post 583 of this thread, which is about the psychic predictions of Princess Di and Bush and whatnot.
They're really testing things out beforehand, aren't they?
