The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

A few more details on the radioactive leak in FL

Radioactive Leak Reported In West Palm Beach

POSTED: 4:31 pm EST January 26, 2005

Local 10's sister station in West Palm Beach is reporting that a malfunction in a radioactive testing device has closed down part of the downtown area in that city.

Sky10 is on the way to the area to check out reports from WPBF that the device leaked a higher than acceptable level of radioactivity near the courthouse.

The fire department reportedly can't get into the area to check out reports of the leak because of the possibility of radioactive contamination. Hazardous material crews are on their way to the area.

WELL NOW, there are various levels or degrees of dealing with the problem.
I didn't have bombing in mind at all.

Wasn't as far behind as I thought. LOL!!

I'm glad the Boston threat was a hoax. There are probably folks saying 'See, you were worried for nothing'. This time they were right, but what if we were right. Sadly, I fear one of these times we will be right.

We have to keep on searching. Ever vigilant folks. Ever vigilant.

Kentucky River, has an oil slick, does this river supply water for drinking.

Phoenix has an alert to boil the water.

Of course the flooded states have drinking water problems.

Still a lot of contaminated water sources.

Another scientist dead.

I see you are hooked.

About a year ago, there was a _____ a Dr. Gaia, who showed up here and answered a few posts, I asked him why so many of the scientists were killed, and was he not worried....

His answer was something like this " They do not know who to work for, and I do, so I am not worried".

No need to go looking for the posts, as someone got excited and had every post pulled.

Another scientist dead.

You have to admit that it's a bit odd.

Ok. Just snipers, bayonet charges, hummers with 50 cal machine guns and the occasional RPG. That's far better on a city street. Keeps the riff raff under control. The military is not a law enforcement organization. Their tools and training is designed to do serious damage against a well armed opposition. You really don't want that kind of activity going on in your residential neighborhood.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE
Office of the Spokesman
This information is current as of today, Wed Jan 26 16:11:16 2005.
Mexico
January 26, 2005
This Public Announcement is being issued to alert U.S. citizens to the current security situation along the Mexican side of the U.S.-Mexico border in the wake of increased violence among drug traffickers. Although the majority of travelers in the region visit without mishap, violent criminal activity, including murder and kidnapping, in Mexico's northern border region has increased. The overwhelming majority of the victims of violent crime have been Mexican citizens. Nonetheless, U.S. citizens should be aware of the risk posed by the deteriorating security situation. This Public Announcement expires on April 25, 2005.

Violent criminal activity along the U.S.-Mexico border has increased as a product of a war between criminal organizations struggling for control of the lucrative narcotics trade along the border. The leaders of several major criminal organizations have been arrested, creating a power vacuum. This has resulted in a wave of violence aimed primarily at members of those trafficking organizations and criminal justice officials. However, foreign visitors, including Americans, have been among the victims of homicides and kidnappings in the border region in recent months.
