Rangel Introduces 'Impeach Rumsfeld' Legislation

Rep. Charles Rangel, D-NY, announced on Sunday that he's introducing legislation to impeach Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

"I put in a bill for his resignation. It's shameful," Rangel told NBC's "News Forum" in New York. "Not only for his resignation, for his impeachment as well, because he would allow us to believe that he was shocked and he did not know exactly what we would be faced with [in Iraq]."

Rangel blamed Rumsfeld and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz for "advising the president to get rid of Saddam Hussein."

"It's embarrassing," he complained. "Here we are, the greatest nation in the world, the most powerful political military force in the world with a Third World nation with no army and we can't be prepared when we're putting our troops in harm's way?"

Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution states: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

The Harlem Democrat did not specify the nature of Rumsfeld's alleged criminal conduct.

The 'Rats LSM are still engaged in the politics of personal destruction.

They worked Bush over for at least three years. Since that didn't work out, they have decided to work on Rummy until they can get an impeachment against Bush rolling. It's just a matter of time.

Maybe a prominent Republican Congressman should introduce a bill calling for the summary execution of all Democrats. After all we have a majority in both the Senate and Congress.

Rangle is just a nutjob.

I sure his constituents are just thrilled his only power now is to introduce meaningless legislation that has no benefit whatsoever to the voters.

No one takes what this guy says seriously. He is always good for a read in the NY Post on the way home from work. He is a certifiable nutcase.
