I can actually tell the difference between a 2.5 inch and a 3 inch heel.
Before I left NYC I used to run to catch the bus or subway wearing 3 inch heels.........I actually ran better in them than in sneakers!!!
Being the stay at home - I now wear sneakers, flip-flops or boots unless I'm going out.
I actually treated myself to a pair of boots in January - knee high, with a 5 inch heel. They will last me for years because I don't wear them often. Oh, and keeping with my being cheap - they were only $30!

I understand your point, and you sound you have a very well balanced family there.
I hope you can separate what I was trying to get at here ?
I was making the point for those men and women, whom have been neglected by their spouses, that's the point I was driving at. What I mean, was, if one partner was feeling 2 nd fiddle, or felt neglected, then, there is a problem. As long, as your happy, and he is happy, and both don't feel 2 nd fiddle, than, let him have his fishing trip, or you and your friends go for a hair cut or shoes. I didn't say people have to stop having fun in live, but, it's called PRIORITIES. And by no means, I want to argue with anyone here, or have any bad feelings, everyone ones point is valid. Besides ? I ate to much Chilli before, and I am having in digestive distress ( I hate that when that happens, my doctor told me, NO HOT CHILLI for you, but do I listen ? Noooooooooooo ) . Take care everyone, and MERRY CHRISTMAS ,,,,,,,

Mame ? please ? I am sorry to hear about what happen, and he is wrong.
Please ? I hope you don't think, I am so religious, that I don't use common sense.
If anything, I am against religion, religion is " MANS WAY TO GOD " and JESUS CHRIST is GOD's WAY TO GOD.

I agree,, it's sad,, when I see a man treating a woman wrong, and it's just as sad, when I see a woman treating a man wrong.

Even the working mothers I know spend more time wiping their husbands butts because the men are incapable in addition to everything else they do to keep their families happy, fed and clothed."
My husband, of 33 years, complained that I'd become lazy because I didn't take care of us as I use to. I told him if anyone wasn't pulling his load it would be him. I said the only job he had was to support his family and that I had had to help him do that. His's never been help in the house or outside. If I could find a woman like me I'd have a sex change. With all the experince in lawn care and home remodel I have, I'd make someone a good husband.

As a (now) stay-at-home-mom who at one time made lots more money than hubby - I can actually see both sides of the issue having been on both sides.
I never resented paying the bills when he couldn't and he has no qualms now of giving me money for whatever.
It's called give and take and working together to make the best of the situation placed before you.
Money is one of the major causes of the break-ups of marriages - I will never have to worry about that breaking up my marriage. We had absolutely nothing when we got married. I was working part-time nights at a convenience store and he had taken a job as a security guard while fighting a workers comp case from his construction job.
We were as down on our luck as we could possibly be and just looked at each other one night and said - yes, let's do it NOW. 6 weeks later we were married, a week later he got a great job with IBM, and 18 months later God gifted us with our beautiful daughter.

I think money is a great cause of stress, and breakups not only in marriage, but ? I have seen it break families apart, i .e. between brothers, sisters, even friends.

I'm 5'10" and wear 3" heels to make my canal boat feet look smaller. it works.
It also did wonders as a woman working in a male dominated field.........men do not like having to look up at women when speaking to them.

I don't have a perfect marriage and there have been many times I feel like a 2nd fiddle .. but I take a step back, look at the whole picture to see if it's really worth getting all in a huff about
Some times is is .. some times it's not
But I normally try not to say something to him out of the heat of anger ... I have one of those Irish tempers and if I wanted to, I could cut him off at the knees .. *L*

I think mine is sick of seeing me in jeans and sweatshirts/tee shirts also - but I have so many clothes from all my "business" years that I don't need any more - and I do clean up pretty good!!!!
I agree with you - it's nice that he complains I'm spending what he considers "my" money on family stuff as opposed to him complaining that I'm spending "family" money on me.

Life is a juggle .. you never know what life will throw at you and you do the best you can .. and sometimes you don't always come first .. sometimes you have to think of others and take a back seat. What a powerful statement - and a truly beautiful sentiment.

If they still fit, more power to you! Thank you.
I doubt if more than 10% of women can still fit into jeans they bought 26 years ago.
I'm sure the percentage would be higher than that if as many women were as cheap as I am. I remember cringing at paying $16 for them in 1976. My mother thought I was crazy, but I wanted that pair of jeans - they were white, so I could wear them to school, blue jeans were forbidden.

I was living in a townhouse when I was dealing with those stupid ordinances!!!!
Now I don't give a hoot - I have no sidewalks - heck the road out here doesn't even have a shoulder.
But I have to give VA DOT a lot of credit - I live out in the middle of no where, but those plows were out first thing when we had (gasp) 3 inches of snow one day last winter. They came by here 4 times, twice in each direction. Before 10am.
A road like this in Delaware would have waited 3 days for DelDot to get to them. The blizzard of 2003 right before we moved here, DelDOT took 2 weeks to clear some roads.
I would love a huge snow storm - as long as hubby is home.........

Nothing sexier than a tall woman wearing heels and a short skirt.
To: tbird5; All
First and Foremost I think a woman would like to have a man who she feels is equally yoked with her, a man who wants to live is life GOD's way instead of his own way.
A Man who likes Kitties and a man who has effective communication skills..
A woman always wants "shoes" and definetly her own bathroom!
