"Drama Queen" is one of the phrases which does come to mind. Especially if they're like the posts I've read on DU about gay people worrying they would be sent to "re-education camps, just like in Hitler's Germany". I actually saw several posts along that line.
The GLBT folks should be careful, if same sex marriages are OKd, they may find large employers dropping their domestic partner insurance coverage, which is what I heard happened in Mass.

The most ferocious anti-gay marriage person I know is not only gay but a gay rights advocate (in terms of simply treating people decently within the already-existing laws--no "Hate Speech" stuff for him). He gets FURIOUS at this subject. He thinks marriage is for a man and a woman, period, and it's all about families. "Men can't have babies with each other, are these people idiots!" he once said.
In a personal triumph, I got him to vote for Bush this time around.
