The most ferocious anti-gay marriage person I know is not only gay but a gay rights advocate (in terms of simply treating people decently within the already-existing laws--no "Hate Speech" stuff for him). He gets FURIOUS at this subject. He thinks marriage is for a man and a woman, period, and it's all about families. "Men can't have babies with each other, are these people idiots!" he once said.

In a personal triumph, I got him to vote for Bush this time around.

Your friend sounds like a reasonable, thinking man!

I actually do have a good male friend who is gay. He doesn't vote, as he thinks his vote won't count, but he told me if he did vote, he'd vote for President Bush. I have talked myself hoarse to him about that, but can't convince him. Good job you did!
