VA Freeper Militiaman 7 passed away
Posted on 12/19/2004 4:23:19 PM PST by Gopher Broke
I am sad to report that Freeper Militiaman7 passed away this morning from cancer.
He loved FreeRepublic and was a local leader of FREEPS in the Roanoke, VA area. He had a FreeRepublic Banner he brought to all our Freeps.
He was a disabled veteran who served his country. We will miss his quick sense of humor and his love for America and FreeRepublic.
I have no further information at this time.

FYI, just in case you didn't know. I haven't had time to read the whole thread. His son (in Afghanistan) posted on here somewhere, too.....

I'm very sorry about your loss. I met your Dad a couple of times.
I remember the only reason we struck up a conversation is because he was wearing something with Free Republic.com on it. He was the first Freeper I ever met in person.
I used to see him driving alot around town. You couldn't miss all of the bumper stickers.
He is with the Lord now. RIP MilitiaMan7

Sad news. Militiaman7 was a patriot. Payers for Militiaman7 and his family.

I'm sorry for your loss. My dad passed away 10 days after I returned from my second tour in Nam. There is no good time.
Have a safe trip, and I hope you can share with us the story of your journey someday.
To: Gopher Broke
God bless you Militiaman7. RIP.

It's been a long time since we've met you (counterprotest at the Navy Memorial, Sept. 29, 2001). You and your family are in our prayers and thank you for your service to our country.

Doggone it. I was really hoping he'd beat that awful disease.
Rest in peace, M-man. You served your country well.

Oh no...
I saw Dave this past summer. He gave me a Bush bumper sticker, one with Dubya's picture on it.
Go with God, Dave.
To: Darnright
I mailed him a few bumper stickers back during the summer, at his request. Sad news indeed.
