For me the most important fact was that a taxpayer funded school took a day off from its normal curriculum to celebrate gay lifestyles. If all things gay were so important to some parents, what was stopping them from holding a special event on a Saturday?

Thank you, yes! And it is fit into each and every part of the curriculum, ever subject, day in and day out. So students cannot get away from it. If a parent disagrees, they are bigots. Which is what they teach the kids, btw. The opt in is a good bill, it makes it mandatory that a student have a permission slip to attend any of these changed subject classes, or programs.
It bears mentioning as well, that these schools are so focused on this nonsense, the kids are not learning to read write and perform math. The state test results, MCAS's scores are down.

You hit the most important point. Having such an event on a regular school day. Someone's head should roll for misappropriation of funds.
