Appeal to the Supreme Court last hope for Christians
First, symbols of Christianity are removed from the public square; now, Christians are facing 47 years in prison because they preached the gospel in the public square. Stalin would be proud, Brian Fahling, AFA Center for Law and Policy Senior Trial Attorney.
Tupelo, MS - After a federal appeals court denied an emergency appeal to stop prosecution of 11 Christians on Tuesday, Philadelphia Municipal Court Judge William Austin Meehan ordered four of the Christians to stand trial on three felony (criminal conspiracy, ethnic intimidation, and riot) and five misdemeanor charges. If convicted, they could face up to 47 years in prison.
The Christians were arrested on October 10 for praying, singing, and reading scripture during an annual gay pride event known as Outfest in Philadelphia.
Since the federal courts did not intervene to halt the state prosecution, the last route for the Christians would be an appeal to the Supreme Court says the Christians attorney Brian Fahling, senior trial attorney for the American Family Association Center for Law & Policy.
First, symbols of Christianity are removed from the public square, now, Christians are facing years in prison because they preached the gospel in the public square. Stalin would be proud, Fahling said.
The federal appeals court in Philadelphia denied emergency relief despite video footage Fahling calls undisputed evidence that shows the Christians cooperating with police and continually being harassed by the Pink Angels, a group of homosexuals organized to impede the gospel message. Philadelphia city prosecutor in the case, Charles Ehrlich, attacked the Christians as hateful and referred to preaching the Bible as fighting words, the judge agreed.
Charges were dropped against the remaining seven apparently because they were not seen quoting scripture on the videotape.
The Philadelphia case represents another example of discrimination toward Christians, said Tim Wildmon, president of the American Family Association national headquarters. The past month has poured forth cases of Christian persecution seen in the higher education institution, public school systems, and the judicial court system.

Ping for Action and Later Read/Watch
Bump.
NUMP for later
11 people can do quite a bit when motivated. Just think, add one more and they could have started an entire religion! : )
No, because he was instigating the murder. Besides, his music credentials are probably slightly less impressive than Kinsey's scientific credentials.
If he did that, it was completely wrong. Doesn't make him a pedophile, but does mean there is a special place in hell for him.
LET GOD ARISE
AND HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED.
LORD, GOD, IF the judge and others persecuting your people will not repent and turn from this hideous exercise, let them be thoroughly trounced by your angelic forces in the most vivid and educational way fittingly possible, in Jesus' Name. May it be public and widely known that you have exercised ALMIGHTY POWER in this situation in behalf of your children and your priorities, Oh, Lord, in Jesus' Name.
And let all the believers stand up and be counted and beseige all elected officials with such a clamor that the officials are too fearful to sleep at nights.
May all like-minded pray in whatever agreement fits their spirits and hearts, in Jesus' Name.
So, in the face of prosecution for having a religious belief, you'll hide under the bed? How important is that belief, then?
I forget which religious sect first encouraged the, "They're never going to be saved because I can tell they aren't one of the elect. . ." thing for people to never share their faith, but it stinks.
No one but God knows who is, who will be, and who won't be converted. There may well have been a person or three in that parade that saw the Christians, and seriously thought about it. If that's all that happened, I'd consider the "protest" a success.
Yes, don't cast your pearls before swine. There's another verse that says something like, "when the city you are in rejects you and your message, leave, and kick the dust off your feet." Kicking the dust from one's sandals was considered a bigtime diss, so to speak. I'd gather that, until you know who exactly who the swine is, you have to treat them as if they are not. BTW, when you find out who will and won't be saved, email me the list. :P
I've watched the video. They're being rediculously peaceful. There was no reason to arrest them. The police may have pulled the "for your safety" routine, and I could have at least understood that.
As your name implies, you are freeeee to take your sorry ass out of the country. The real patriots will stay and fight and are not afraid of the pink brigade and those scum cops and judges in Philly.
Personally, I'm an ignoramus, it sounded like a possibility to me.
But according to natural law, we both know the truth about responsibility.
He's as guilty as sin.
And it is rather surprising the number of Kinsey/Christian arresting apologists on this thread. With very reasoned tones of course. Just being reasonable, oh yes.
Agreed.
steve have you seen the video yet, you really need to see it.
Here's another excerpt from JR's mission statement which starts on the homepage of FR:
"As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc..."
Read the link I posted to Reisman's website and STOP APOLOGETICS FOR KINSEY.
If you say one more thing about Kinsey without informing yourself you are a troll.
Matthew also wrote that Jesus told his disciples that he was sending them out like sheep among wolves, and that they should be as shrewd as snakes, and as innocent as doves.
They got the "innocent" part right, based on what I saw in the video, and that may save them from conviction on these trumped-up charges, but it doesn't strike me as very shrewd to wade into a known vicously hostile and unreceptive crowd to preach the gospel.
"No one but God knows who is, who will be, and who won't be converted. There may well have been a person or three in that parade that saw the Christians, and seriously thought about it. If that's all that happened, I'd consider the "protest" a success.".....
True.
Isa 55:10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; (11) So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding {in the matter} for which I sent it. "
I will read Reisman's website in a few minutes. I'd like to know more about her though. Why is she a respectable source or information? (I'm not saying she isn't, just asking why she is?)
For God's sake will you stop defending Kinsey? He had no credentials, he was a zoologist or something.
His credentials were that he was a sexual pervert obsessed with sexual perversion and spent his life lying and promoting sexual perversion, promoting the abuse and rape of children in the process.
Read the link already.
Real patriots will have no problem with my post, since they don't think free speech and assembly are only for people they like.
In the words of a real patriot:
"He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."
- Thomas Paine
Naturally those who promote sexual perversion defame her.
Just read her website. And if you defend Kinsey any more, you are outing yourself as a troll.
