Chevy Chase's Attack on Bush Shocks Liberals
NewsMax ^ | Dec 16, 2004 | Limbacher

Hollywood has-been Chevy Chase needs a boost for his lagging career, so to get some much-needed publicity he's launching another attack on our president.

"Even certified Hollywood liberals were reeling after Chevy Chase's potty-mouthed Bush-bashing Tuesday night at the Kennedy Center," the Washington Post reported today.

After fellow travelers Alec Baldwin and Susan Sarandon accepted some cheesy little awards from the hate group that calls itself People for the American Way, Chase, PAW's master of ceremonies, "took the stage a final time and unleashed a rant against President Bush that stunned the crowd. He deployed the four-letter word that got Vice President Cheney in hot water, using it as a noun. Chase called the prez a 'dumb [expletive].' He also used it as an adjective, assuring the audience, 'I'm no [expletive] clown either. ... This guy started a jihad,'" the Post revealed.

Chase raged, "This guy in office is an uneducated, real lying schmuck ... and we still couldn't beat him with a bore like Kerry."

PAW's president, Ralph Neas, clucked: "Chevy Chase's improvised remarks caught everyone off guard, and were inappropriate and offensive. It was not what I would have said, and certainly not the language People for the American Way would ever use in discussing any president of the United States."

PAW's founder, Norman Lear, who still hasn't kept the promise he made to the Wall Street Journal to move to New Zealand, said: "I thought it was utterly untoward, obviously unexpected and unscripted and all that stuff. And, uh - it was Chevy Chase. He'll live with it. I won't."

P.S.: Democrat soon-to-ex-senator Tom Daschle, the Post tattled, "looked taken aback when he went on directly after Chase."

Daschle's opening line: "I've had to follow a lot of speakers, but ...."

Chevy, please keep up the hateful ranting. Republicans need your help to win more elections.

Wow, we should bring this guy up to Canada and set him up with Carolyn Parrish. They'd make a good couple.

"You know the networks should consider giving him his own talk show - I'm sure it would be a huge hit."

Yeah, I hear he's funny even without a script. Should be as successful as Air America.

You can still watch Christmas vacation. Geez, if you quit watching movies and listening to the music of every left wing idiot your play list would consist of 3-4 movies and half a dozen songs.

Better approach is not to pay for anything. I have no problem downloading the likes of John Mellencamp. I will never put a dime in his/their pockets though. The only one that I cannot tolerate is Babs, wouldn't waste 15 seconds to down load her crap.

This rant from Chase is typical of the Hollywood garbage we have been listening to for a long time. These people's career's are history and we need to keep the list out there and updated!! This rant puts Chevy at the head of the sh.. list. Need we say more?

It's not appropriate to call Mr. Chase a has-been. A much better term is never-was.

If by stones you are referring to rocks in the head you are right. Why do these people keep showing their ignorance and envy by trying to appear superior to someone who undoubtedly has a higher IQ and a better education than they do? I believe there is are Commandments regarding envy and false witness, but then these folks don't know about Commandments either. I guess we should pray for them.

Three years later his college band signed a recording contract as Steely Dan.

Heeeheee. That is TOO rich. Personally, I'm glad for this, since Steely Dan is one of my favorite bands, while Chevy Chase is a cockroach.

It does seem interesting though, some of the quotes in this article. Is it me, or do the other libs seem to be trying to distance themselves from Chase a little. While they're loathe to admit it, I wonder if they're a lot more shaken up about the results of 11/2 than they want to admit.

Tell me about it zek. But like I said, it's not that I don't watch/listen to boycott them, it's that I just get so pi$$ed off when I see/hear them. I have tried with varying degrees of success, though.

Chevy probably got a standing ovation if the truth be known.

How much education does Mr. Chase have? Anything post-high school? Most of these Hollyweird types are just high school grads -- if that!

They actually are! But not because they disagree with Chase. They're outraged that they were caught again spewing their hate out in the open.

BTW Isn't the Kennedy Center a U.S. Government site? Are partisan groups allowed to celebrate their politicial and social opinions with the taxpayer picking up the tab, or at least some of it? Given its behavior in the last election no one could accept the fiction that PFAW is a non partisan group.

Most of them choose to do so only on FOREIGN SOIL.

That hasn't quite worked for them, especially now in the Internet age when ANYTHING the Hollywood Left says gets transmitted around the world in seconds over the public Internet.

I think O'l Chevy needed some media attention and deliberately performed the outrageous words. It worked. Everyone will be talking about it today.

He's George W. Bush.

You're not.

They're giving themselves "DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM" awards. That, in and of itself, should show everyone how utterly delusional these people are. George Bush is bringing freedom to millions, while they think real freedom means using four-letter words to describe a President. I hope there's a tape of this.

And you wonder why people who've taken their college classes seriously (read: Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Robin Williams) have won Oscars. We of course disagree with their politics but you can't deny they're all top-notch actors.
