RIP, Mr Van Andel.
Unfortunately, they ran your business into the ground. It's shameful compared to what you made it.

Do not liken it to a religion, it is closer aligned to a cult. There is a difference.

They don't have to die! They just have to use the services of the mortician and recruit other people to use the services of the mortician.

It is not a pyramid. Many people below a sponsor make much more money.

Why are you so sarcastic? Many people work very hard as entrepeneurs -- owning their own business.

Thanks for speaking the truth here -- it seems that many are uneducated about what the VanAndel and DeVos families have done for the Republican Party and for America in general.

Your remarks are ofofensive and out of order here. This man was a great Republican and a great American.

**From my experience there were two (or more) totally different forms of AMWAY. I think Van Andel and De Vos basic idea was genius. I sell to my friends and family, they sell to their friends and family, they in turn sell to their friends and family,*8
And this is exactly what Karl Rove patterned the neighborhood home parties support Bush/Cheney after in the lead up to this election. Rove is no dummy. The system worked well. (In both the business and in the elction cases.)

Actually Amway's products were often better than "Brand name" products purchased at the grocery store.
At the pizza dive I worked at, we all made fun of the owner for being involved with Amway, but nothing made the floors shine and the silverware sparkle than the Amway soaps and cleaners.

Something about Amway didn't gel with me when I was first introduced to it in the mid 80's. I never became involved with it heavily although I knew an old friend who did. He wasted a lot of time and effort for nothing. It was based on charm and subterfuge, not merit and openness.
