I answer that question. The control console is for an S5W submarine reactor plant. The large wheels are the ahead and astern throttles. I bout freaked when I first saw this photo shop. We were sworn to secrecy and all that. However I found the original picture on a museum website where it's on display. Guess it's not so secret anymore,

I wonder what the big wheel does? Silly, that's the pointing device.
You have to turn it left or right at the same time either pushing it in or out to get the cursor to move around the monitor.
They didn't dare call it a mouse way back then cuz the "little lady" of the house wouldn't want it in her home.
