I don't claim to understand a great deal about economics, but I do understand this much: if a person has a business and he needs help running it, he has to hire someone. Let's completely take the race issue out of it. Lets say you have Paco, an illegal, who will help you for $3 an hour, and you have Manuel, a second generation American citizen, who requires $5 an hour. If you hire Paco, you have committed a crime, you have aided Paco in HIS crime, and you have cheated Manuel out of a job, so, in that respect, Paco has stolen Manuel's job.
Now, if you had the same kind of dollar discrepancy, and both Paco and Manuel were American citizens, then you'd have a fair market argument, but the employer cannot use that argument to justify breaking the law.
" I'd be happy to voluntarily spend a couple bucks on this kid's college fund."
Then do it. Don't force your charitible inclinations on the rest of us. That's a leftie tactic.
No one is suggesting that. How about this concept? The bills for medical care, welfare and schooling for ILLEGAL ALIENS should be paid by their country of origin, not American taxpayers. Then they should be deported.
The only thing that has been "stolen" is the employer's freedom to set wages and his freedom of association.
You're welcome. It's basicly an exercise in futility, but I'm still plugging away. LOL
Hey; y'all might find this thread interesting.
When my mother's former employer obtained an illegal Mexican woman to replace my mother at her post, she said fine. I strongly encouraged her to report them but she declined, saying she hoped the family gets their money's worth at $5/hr to take care of their aged mother.
The goverment doesn't have any business micromanaging employers.
What other laws do you suggest that it is acceptable to ignore? Please, enlighten us.
The legitmate uses of law and violence are one in the same: the defense of life, liberty and property. Any law that does not meet these criteria can morally if not pragmatically disregarded.
What part of 'illegal' is hard to understand?
By your standard, any restriction on immigration would steal the employers' freedom.
Do you support unlimited immigration, which would mean completely open borders, or at what point would you, in your mind, be willing to steal the freedom of employers?
Fair enough, nobody is entitled to loans or aid.
Let me know if I'm not saying it right - mierda de bull.
Apparently the "il.." part.
Apparently so.
Inquiring minds would like to know....is Pablo for real...or is he a media creation...ala Jayson Blair..???
We can win this war. We must e-mail elected officials at every level. We can encourage our states to allow localities to deputize cops to enforce immigration laws. We can join AZ in prohibiting people who are in America illegally from getting welfare and the like. www.whitehouse.gov , www.senate.gov , www.house.gov and e-mail state officials! www.cis.org , http://www.frbatlanta.org/filelegacydocs/wp0119.pdf#search='federal%20reserve%20bank%20atlanta%20amnesty'
So, should states be required to offer in-state tuition to illegal aliens?
She is married to Mayor Hickenlooper of Denver-the man who just banned Christmas from the parade.
I doubt Pablo exists.
Thanks for the ping to your note. One thing that I find really fascinating about the left is this. Isn't it interesting how connected to normal apple pie and mom values they are, when it comes to developing a great work of propaganda to promote their causes.
Most of the things this wench credited Pablo for, are things she and her leftist fellow travelers decry in our own culture.
What a B atch!
States have no business forcing taxpayers to support colleges in the first place.
