Just asking for prayers for this officer's family. Her young daughter was in preschool at my church. I'm sure they are devastated by this. It was very difficult as the children practiced their program this afternoon not have this child with us and to know that it was because she lost her mother last night. Thanks in advance.

Prayers for this child and her family. Just another example of how much law enforcement personnel put their life on the line for us daily.

God take her and help her family find some peace in this time of sorrow. Prayers offered.

Absolutely senseless. She put her life on the line to serve her community every day, and to be taken like this is just so very tragic. Bless her family and fellow officers.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You for the life of this young mother, yet we are grieved that her life ended so tragically. May the Comfort of Your Presence surround her family ... be for them the love of wife and mother that they no longer have ... send loving arms and soothing words to help in their grief and anger. Hold to account any and all those whose acts have led to the death of this police officer ... may the community now protect her family as she had so long protected them. Walk with each one who shares this grief, O God ... strengthen them, for the way is filled with pain and desolation. In the Name of Jesus, may it be thus, Amen ...

dittos. I have one friend that is an officer who was shot 2 weeks ago and came very close to loosing his life. He has a wife and two young children. I have another friend that is an undercover officer and they are really in danger. I think about them and pray for them often. They are in danger as our troops are all the time.
My prayers go out for this officer's family.

How very sad. A child losing their mother almost seems like to much to bare. May she she be comforted and held up by our Lord's love.

The police officer stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
She hoped her shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as her brass.
"Step forward now, police officer.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared her shoulders and said,
"No lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry a badge
can't always be a saint."
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at time I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept countless tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the officer waited quietly,
For the judgement of her god.
"Step forward now, officer,
You've born your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell"
Rest peacefully in our Lord's arms, Officer Foster. May God walk with your children and keep them safe.
