Can't get enough is right.

When a country of 42 Million has a military of 10,000, it isn't even window dressing. You have fewer soldiersthan there are cops in New York City.

I have no idea how you guys can wake up every morning without complete and total embarrasment on how you have completely abdicated all responsibility for yourselves to the US. I am surprised you don't ask us to help you all dress and get to school/work every day.

I agree, we can do more. However, let's look up the facts before posting:

DND/CF

"More than 1,400 Canadian soldiers, sailors and Air Force personnel are deployed overseas on operational missions. On any given day, about 8,000 Canadian Forces members - one third of our deployable force - are preparing for, engaged in or returning from an overseas mission."

Deployable force: 24,000

Population of Canada: 31,946,316 (July 2004)

NYPD: 39,110 officers

How many police officers are there in NYPD? There are currently 39,110 police officers in NYPD. This is the total number of Police Officers, Detectives, Sergeants, Lieutenants, Captains, Deputy Inspectors, Inspectors, Deputy Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, and Bureau Chiefs budgeted for fiscal year 2003.
