I think the FOX broadcast network and FOX News have very different management...

And they are kind of separated from each other.

Boston's FOX affiliate is completely liberal. They were gleeful for Kerry and all but cried tears when he lost.

What I dislike about them, and I mean REALLY DISLIKE. Is how they have the "Fox News Alert" time after time after time throughout the day.

Traditionally when you see an "Alert" on the news its something big, something important.

I can be listening to Fox playing on TV while in the nest room, and hear "We Have a Fox News Alert". I stop what I'm doing and listen to what they are saying just to find out its news about someone in Nebraska getting into a car accident or something....pisses me off to no end.

I agree with okstate that Fox Broadcasting and Fox News have very different management. Out here in the Boston area, the local Fox station, WFXT 25, has the worst local news coverage I've ever seen anywhere. Every time I see an ad for one of their "investigative reports," I cringe. It always sounds something like, "do you use scented toilet paper in your home? Find out how you could be endangering the lives of your children tonight on Fox 25 News at 10!" It's nothing like the caliber of Fox News.

The affiliate where I worked was also owned by FTS (Fox Television Stations). They're called O&O's--means they're O-wned and O-perated by FTS. There are O&O's in 27 markets.

Our station did a staggering 6+ hours of locally-produced news A DAY, which is about normal for the group.

Fox cable doesn't do local news..Fox regular channel does in my area of Texas...check your TV Guide for the regular Fox channel...It is just like a network local news report..You won't find local news on CNN or MSNBC either.

Would it be nice if the Simson network has and hour of world and national news at night.

KDFW in Dallas is Fox Owned and Operated. They do something like 7-8 hours of live local news every weekday.

Because Fox is relatively new and conservative, their network and station ad rates are less than their competitors. This is changing, gradually, and in time will allow for more and better news programming.

I too wish we had Fox and Friends on tape delay. They repeat all of the other shows later, but not that one.
As for local news, doesn't you regular Fox channel have it? Ours does.

Yeah sure, OK that.... And they could get rid of Colmbes, Gretta and Geraldo while they're at it.
