I didn't think it was easy either. I guess we're just not used to the intricacies of the Sports Illustrated site for some reason. ;)

That's it! No idea why I was in the mood to hear that one. I guess 'cause it's so tacky it's good. LOL

(Do you hear some weird static in the background of that version though?)

I was 15 when it happened. I remember it well and it was tremendous.

There were a few things: first, Lou Nanne was nowhere near as fatalistic as the movie made him out to be. Someone had to be the foil for Herb "You Can't Do It" Brooks and they made Louie the guy.

Second, during the West Germany game, the scoreboard abbreviates the opponent as "GDR" - which was EAST Germany. West Germany would have been abbreviated "FRG". That's a fairly significant Cold War continuity error in my book.

Ken Morrow, who had a beard in real life, didn't have one in the movie.

And finally, it would have been cool if they could have shot the Olympic scenes in Lake Placid. They were done in Canada as I understand it.

But these weren't show killers for me. We Gophers revered Herb Brooks while he was coaching and we honor his memory now.

As for songs - trussell and I are looking for "At Last" by Glenn Miller. Can you please help? :)

Almost there, Ma!
I was surprised by a little mouse that had taken up residence in one of my shoeboxes!
EEEKK!!!!
That, and I have two cats living here, can you imagine?
Sheesh!
