More classics missing from the list:

"Consider this a Divorce"

"A preview of coming attractions"

"Thirty years from now, when you're sitting around your fireside with your grandson on your knee and he asks you, "What did you do in the great World War II," you won't have to say, "Well... I shoveled shit in Louisiana."

" I'm not going to waste my time arguing with a man who's lining up to be a hot lunch. That's a twenty footer!

"About as subtle as a cockroach crawling across a white rug"

"My given name is Benjamin Buford Blue, but people call me Bubba. Just like one of them ol' redneck boys. Can you believe that?"

"You know I don't wear any underwear."

"My partner stopped to help a damsel in distress. He's got his priorities all screwed up"

Ironically, the last time I posted a mention of Harry's War and swore it would never be on TV, the local cable access chanel showed it as a filler within a week. I set up my computer, which I use as a DVR, and proceeded to record it, since I was going to be out.

When I played back the recording, about halfway through, the channel switched over to one of their normal cable access programs.

You wonder if a phone call was made!

I'm not joking about this, by the way.

I was looking for that line.

An underappreciated gem of sociopathy was "Bad Company" with Ellen Barkin, Laurence .... darn, the guy who played Morpheus about employees of a private black ops security firm. Ellen plots with Laurence to murder the owner.

Ellen: I hate him. Do you know why I hate him ?

Laurence: Sure. If you didn't hate him you'd have to be grateful and who wants to be grateful ?

Great lines from "42nd Street"

Be so good, you'll make me hate you.
You're going out there a kid but you've got to come back a star.

Okay, you and I combined know too many lines out of Buckaroo. If you know where this one came from, then I'll start to worry;

"Are you going to kill me now, Snake?"

"No, I'm too tired. maybe later."

My nominee for best "we are through" line from a war movie...by William Holden
as the falsely-accused (and acquitted) Sgt. Sefton as he made his break from Stalag 17.

Sefton: If I ever run into any of you bums on a street corner,
just let's pretend we've never met before.

There's not a person alive who "made it over the wall" from some institution
(company, university, etc.) who didn't have someone they'd love to have told that
sort of punchy "so long".

"Are you going to kill me now, Snake?"

Why, it could only be "Escape From New York".

Hilight the blank space to reveal the answer.
