An infant died Monday after her mother called 911 to report that she had cut off the baby's arms, police said.
When authorities arrived, they found the baby with her arms severed and the mother waiting calmly with blood on her clothing, police said. The baby died at a hospital.
The 35-year-old mother, whose name was not released, was being questioned by police.
Authorities said other family members, including two school-age children, lived together in the Plano apartment.
bingo.
must be that peculiar yellow-orange slime in the water! good thing I drink only bottled water here....
Why don't they move our birthdays to the day we were conceived? It would take away the argument.
Right on. Here come the libs to defend this "poor woman" who probably had post-partum depression or was malnourished or OVERnourished/Obese.
I will bet money she will get off with insanity as is typical for women. What is phenomenally sad is that if a man did this he would fry, whereas she will likely just go to an asylum until she's 'cured,' then serve a few years in jail afterward.
Anyone who could do that to another human being, let alone a child, needs to be given a mandatory dirt nap. Male OR female.
Joe Ball, Elizabeth Bathory, The Borgias, William Burke & William Hare, Mary Ann Cotton, Gilles de Rais, Frederick Deeming, Theo Durrant, Albert Fish, Belle Gunness, Fritz Haarmann, Anna Marie Hahn, H. H. Holmes, Jack the Ripper, Bela Kiss, Peter Kürten, Henri Landru, John Lynch, Josef Mengele, Earle Leonard Nelson, Alfred Packer, Carl Panzram, Dr. Marcel Petiot, Jesse Pomeroy, Sweeney Todd, Vlad the Impaler...look them up. People are messed up. They always have been. That tired 'these are the worst of times' bit is silly.
Nothing wrong with the water--there are just more nutjobs you KNOW about now.
Let's just hope Greta doesn't latch on to this one and cover it ad nauseum.
Because people excuse such monstrous behavior as a result of 'mental illness.' We simply cannot take the risk that 'illness' like this is not cured before she is released. This woman should be put to death. I don't care if the kid cried all day and night, or if the mom had the worst post-partum experiences ever. You don't kill people, period, 'crazy' or not.
Not indicating that heroin had anything to do with this woman's problems. But in response to your post.
Some communities have exhibited this trend more dramatically than others. For instance, the affluent town of Plano, TX was hit especially hard: in the past three years, they have buried 19 young people because of heroin. Read this article from Newsweek to learn how the problem started and what community leaders did to fight it.

Has Katie started her campaign to save this poor victim Mommy yet? I am just horrified by this, and she should get no mercy. My God this is just reprehensible!
I wonder how she voted. Sorry, I couldn't resist. So many poor people killed lately... I need a little lightness.
The evil that took place here is repeated 3,500 times per day in the U.S. Would that people be as shocked and outraged by each and every one of those acts of evil as this one. Until then, innocent children will continue to be dismembered by a killer paid by their Mothers. It is sad that you've become so desensitized.
Hey, it's just a perfectly acceptable and righteous post birth abortion. The mother has rights you know! Insane? Death penalty? PFFFFFT.
Doctor Singer undoubtedly would have no problem with this, it simply being a post-natal abortion. Grrr...
Can't you imagine the anger of God over this treatment of one of the weakest and most innocent?
Not in Texas. Texas is the only state that has an express lane for executing.
Idiots like Mrs. Gonzales are no help in situations like these. Her STUPID comment does nothing but take the blame from herself. I hope she never forgets this innocent being murdered.
